Automotive giant pushes the button in Turkey! Only one model will be produced at the factory in that province

Japanese automotive manufacturer Honda is restarting its production activities in Turkey with a new facility established in Aliağa, İzmir.

Countdown for the Start of Production

Within the scope of the project carried out under Honda Motor Company, the setup process of the factory in Aliağa, İzmir, has reached the completion stage. The company plans to switch to mass production as of the end of the month in order to increase its presence in Turkey's growing motorcycle market.

ONLY ONE MODEL WILL BE PRODUCED IN THE FIRST STAGE

The first model to be produced at the factory will be the PCX125 scooter, which has reached high sales figures in Turkey. The production line will initially focus solely on this model. In the future, it is aimed to include different models in the scooter and maxi-scooter segments in the production scope, depending on market demands.

PRODUCTION CAPACITY WILL INCREASE GRADUALLY

The facility is expected to start operations with an annual production capacity of 100 thousand units in the first stage. The company plans to increase this capacity to 200 thousand units annually in the medium term following improvements to be made in production processes. In this direction, the factory is aimed to become an important production center on a regional scale.

In the first phase of the investment, more than 300 people will be directly employed at the factory. In addition to this, it is expected to provide a wider contribution to the regional economy with indirect job opportunities that will arise in the sub-industry, supply chain, and logistics fields.
