Bad news for electric vehicle owners: Tesla Turkey raises charging prices

A new price hike has hit charging fees, which are closely monitored by electric vehicle users. Tesla Turkey has increased prices across its Supercharger network, which is used by both its own vehicle owners and drivers of other electric car brands. The increase rate was announced as approximately 5 percent.

Previously, Tesla owners paid 9.40 TL per kilowatt-hour (kWh) at Supercharger stations, but under the new regulation, this fee has risen to 9.90 TL. For users of other electric vehicle brands, the fee per kWh has increased from 11.70 TL to 12.30 TL. Consequently, owners of both Tesla and other electric vehicle brands have felt the impact of the price hike.

Other major charging station operators in the sector are also drawing attention with their fee updates. At Trugo, Togg's charging infrastructure, the price for DC fast charging is set at 14.98 TL, while AC, or slow charging, is 9.95 TL. At ZES charging points, owned by Zorlu Enerji, prices are applied at 9.99 TL per kWh for AC type charging, 12.99 TL for DC fast charging, and 16.49 TL per kWh specifically for units over 180 kW. On the Eşarj side, a tariff of 9.90 TL for AC charging and 13.50 TL for DC fast charging is in effect.

In this period where the use of electric vehicles is rapidly increasing in Turkey, rising costs and market volatility are also being reflected in charging station fees. Users continue to closely monitor price changes.
