In November, prices in the second-hand car market showed a 1.8 percent decline when adjusted for inflation.
According to data from arabam.com, while second-hand car listing prices increased by 0.4 percent compared to October to reach 692 thousand 624 TL, real prices recorded a decline during this period.
A decrease was observed in the share of vehicles under 500 thousand TL, while listings over 1 million TL increased.
DEMAND FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION VEHICLES INCREASED
Furthermore, demand for automatic transmission vehicles increased, and the listing share of these vehicles rose by 3 percent compared to October. While the share of gasoline vehicles increased by 1.19 percent, the share of diesel vehicles decreased. Hybrid and electric vehicles drew attention with their low listing shares.
Halil Ali Şenay, Deputy General Manager of Trink sat! and Auto Expertise at arabam.com, stated, "We observed that the momentum in the second-hand market, which accelerated in September and October, slowed down slightly in November. However, the price increase remained below inflation again."
