Major increase in automotive sales in October

According to data from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), sales of automobiles and light commercial vehicles in Turkey increased by 19.40 percent in October compared to the same period last year. With this increase, sales reached 116,149 units.

In October, automobile sales increased by 19.87 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 90,695 units. Light commercial vehicle sales rose by 17.78 percent to 25,454 units.

When compared to the October averages of the last 10 years, the automobile and light commercial vehicle market recorded a growth of 60.2 percent. During this period, automobile sales increased by 61.5 percent, while the light commercial vehicle market expanded by 55.7 percent.

In the January-October period of 2025, total automobile and light commercial vehicle sales reached 1 million 43 thousand 796 units, an increase of 10.20 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, automobile sales increased by 10.98 percent to 833,382 units, while light commercial vehicle sales rose by 7.23 percent to 210,414 units.
