World-renowned brand takes the top spot in the automotive sector

In an international analysis covering the period from April 2025 to March 2026, the recall frequencies of automobile manufacturers were examined. Ford topped the list by recalling 19.5 million of its vehicles worldwide during this period.

Toyota followed in second place with 4.1 million recalled vehicles. During this period, the volume of recalls carried out by Ford alone surpassed the total of all other brands combined.

Certain models within the Ford group drew attention due to their high recall risks. At the top of the list was the Lincoln Aviator, which carries a 23.4 times higher recall risk compared to standard automobiles. The Lincoln Corsair and Ford Maverick stood out with rates of 17.7 and 12.4 times, respectively. Nearly half of the 25 most frequently recalled models were vehicles belonging to the Ford group.

While many manufacturers today attempt to resolve issues through over-the-air software updates, Ford's service operations for technical and mechanical failures could not be overcome with software. According to experts, high recall rates negatively impact brand loyalty and customer satisfaction.

On the reliability side of the list, luxury segment brands stood out. Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Lexus were among the cars with the fewest recalls.
