He announced the net minimum wage that should be: The hunger threshold detail

Karar newspaper columnist İbrahim Kahveci stated in his article today that there will be only one raise for the minimum wage in 2024.

In his article, where he used the expressions, "If there is to be a minimum wage compatible with the 36.0 percent inflation target, the year-end hunger threshold is 19,636 liras. But if we say that a minimum wage earner should work below the hunger threshold for half the year, then the minimum wage corresponds to the mid-year figure of 17,500 liras," Kahveci also said the following:

Noting that China provides a higher minimum wage than Turkey despite its 1.3 billion population, Kahveci added, "Didn't Venezuela show us that a situation where educated people leave the country means poverty and destitution for those who remain? In short, the minimum wage and the general wage level are actually the quality level of a country's administration."
