While many figures are being discussed in the corridors for the 2024 minimum wage, it has been learned that AKP members working in the field are lobbying for 17 thousand liras. 

According to the report in YeniAsır, while there are many figures being discussed in the corridors, it is claimed that AKP members are lobbying for the minimum wage to be at least 17 thousand liras ahead of the local elections to be held in March.

POSSIBLE SCENARIOS

Possible scenarios for the minimum wage increase are being discussed as follows.

If a 30 percent raise is applied to the minimum wage, the salary will increase by 3 thousand 420 liras and become 14 thousand 822 liras. If a 35 percent raise is applied to the minimum wage, the salary will increase by 3 thousand 990 liras and become 15 thousand 392 liras. If the raise rate for the minimum wage is 40 percent, the salary will increase by 4 thousand 560 liras and become 15 thousand 962 liras. If a 50 percent raise is applied, the minimum wage will be implemented as 17 thousand 103 liras. If the minimum wage receives a 55 percent raise, it will be 17 thousand 673 liras and 10 kuruş.
