46-year-old man made 400 of his employees millionaires!

Jyoti Bansal, the 46-year-old founder of AppDynamics, one of the leading startups in the software world, sold his company to Cisco for a full $3.7 billion in 2017. With this massive sale, approximately 400 AppDynamics employees earned at least $1 million each from the value of the shares they held.

Bansal considered the offer from Cisco while he was planning to take his company public. As the founder of the company, whichever path he chose would have been lucrative for his own financial situation. However, "by accepting Cisco's offer, he ensured that many of his employees also achieved financial freedom." A spokesperson for Bansal stated that many employees earned more than $5 million following the sale.

Currently, Bansal continues his career as the CEO and co-founder of two new software startups named Traceable and Harness. Harness reached a valuation of $3.7 billion in 2022.
