Güven Pres Döküm, which manufactures for many sectors including the defense industry, and its export subsidiary GPD Pres Döküm have been unable to overcome their economic bottleneck. The 32-year-old casting company has filed for a concordat. The court has granted a three-month temporary grace period for the company, which exports products to countries such as Germany, Switzerland, the USA, and Japan, primarily Italy.

OPERATING FOR 32 YEARS

High-pressure die-casting manufacturer Güven Pres Döküm Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., located in the Organized Industrial Zone in Tuzla, and its sister company GPD Pres Döküm Dış Ticaret A.Ş. have filed for a concordat to enter a financial restructuring process. According to a report by Patronlar Dünyası, the Istanbul Anadolu 2nd Commercial Court of First Instance has granted both companies a three-month temporary grace period.

EXPORTS PRODUCTS TO MANY COUNTRIES

Founded in 1993, Güven Pres Döküm is known particularly for its aluminum high-pressure die-casting production. Over the years, the firm has carried out production in many fields ranging from the LPG sector to the defense industry, and from industrial electronic products to automotive. The group, which turned toward the export market starting in 2001, sends products to countries such as Germany, Switzerland, the USA, and Japan, primarily Italy.

The company, which exports 85 percent of its production, was founded by Hakan Aşarı. Following Aşarı's passing in 2019, his wife and son took over the management.
