It turns out it's a must in science

What appears to us today in the mirror of art is,

Science...   

Professor, if there is a mirror....

Are you saying science is a necessity?

Would there be a mirror if there were no science?

I meant if there were no scientific curiosity.

Well, did scientific curiosity just fall from the sky?

I highly doubt it...

Humans, who are an extension of nature and who perceive nature's immortal artistry with their five senses in every moment they live, could initially feel nothing but a sense of helplessness filled with awe in the face of this dizzying, extraordinary beauty. 

Awe and helplessness, and the jealousy that comes with it, and of course, as a result, the desire to imitate and take its place, to say "I am here too"...

Perhaps our whole story began this way.

Think of the fear, astonishment, and awe of the first human who saw their own reflection on the surface of a puddle...

And of course, the sense of curiosity that emerges uncontrollably, fueled by the question of "how does all this happen," and our effort to understand what is happening, which makes us burn the midnight oil.

There must have been a reason for the water's surface to show them themselves, and the thing that created this reason was not yet explainable by its law. 

Then, inevitably, one had to resort to imagery. That is, one would seek an answer in the world of supernatural powers. There are still those today who use this as a method and have not reached intellectual maturity; I assume you know them well...

Also, what did Hünkar Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli say: "The end of the path not taken with science is darkness." It seems worth reminding... What do you think?

Imitating and emulating does not just teach us; while teaching, it makes us discover our own talents and potential. And our first teacher is nature.

In this context, looking and seeing.

While looking represents eye movement, witnessing, and transience, seeing represents perception, selectivity, and a conscious state.

The conscious will that enables us to perform the act of seeing wants to make us curious about seeing in totality—that is, seeing in the relationality that all the parts forming the image create when they are together, seeing in its law, seeing how the act of seeing occurs, and what the thing or things that create this "how" are.

The sentence was a bit long, but that's okay; I think I got my point across....

Anyway, of course, you might immediately say: Professor, can analytical seeing occur without knowledge that has not been experienced and assimilated at the level of consciousness?

It cannot, of course, and that is exactly where we want to get to...

What did our master John Berger, author of the book "Ways of Seeing," say: "Your image is your way of seeing."

At this very point, if we return to the mirror, the person who sees their own reflection in the water has first thought in their image about what could make the mechanism that allows them to see themselves thanks to the water's reflective capacity permanent outside of the water as well. 

I can hear you saying, "Okay, but which image is that, and how did it emerge?"...

Some of you might even ask what we should eat or drink to possess this power of imagery; I'm joking, don't take offense.

I am talking about the image that is fed by experimentation and the practical knowledge it reveals, and that can develop its theory and exist within a meaningful totality. In other words, I am talking about the creative image.

Creative image means being able to build an image upon an image in the memory; that is, being able to build a new image through thought upon the version of the knowledge we obtain through our senses that has turned into an image in our minds. That is, to deconstruct facts within themselves at the image level, to make them lawful again first at the image level, and then to try to learn and demonstrate their law permanently by performing the experiment. 

If I say that what we call human civilization is the externalized, tangible, visible form of this creative image, I don't think I would be out of line...

If I were to talk about the relationship between the mathematician, astronomer, and father of modern optics Ibn al-Haytham—or Alhazen, as the Westerners call him—and Leonardo da Vinci, and its influence on the art of painting and later photography, and subsequently on the art of painting again, I think you would agree with me.
