Artificial Intelligence Education: Trump Has Entered Kindergarten
The United States has elevated artificial intelligence to a top-tier policy level. On April 23, 2025, Donald Trump signed an executive order titled 'Advancing Artificial Intelligence Education for American Youth.' This decree aims to integrate AI education into the curriculum starting from kindergarten and to train teachers in this field. It also seeks to increase AI literacy at the K-12 level through public-private partnerships and to establish registered apprenticeship programs in the AI sector. This initiative is viewed as part of America's effort to maintain its global leadership in artificial intelligence. With this decree, AI education is being incorporated into the curriculum starting from kindergarten. China has already been doing this for several years, and Japan has long since embedded it into its system. Countries like France and Russia are also doing serious work on AI internally, though they do not leak much information to the outside.
In our country, however, the public agenda is still dominated by test booklets, staff appointments, and examination systems. Artificial intelligence? Perhaps it appears as a PowerPoint slide in the 'vision presentations' of private schools, and that is all. Yet, the issue is not just education. The issue is missing out on the intellectual framework of the future—or rather, the production power of today. Turkey is not just missing this train; it is not even stopping by the station. And this time, the train is so fast that even its smoke will not be visible once it has passed.
'10G' and '5G': The Media's Generational Hallucination
Recently, China officially launched the world's first 10G broadband network in the Sunan district of Hebei Province. This system, built jointly by Huawei and China Unicom, provides fixed internet speeds of up to 9,834 Mbps to homes.

Immediately following this news, headlines erupted in the Turkish press claiming, 'China has moved to 10G, while we are still on 4.5G.' This is because everyone who sees the letter 'G' here reflexively assumes it stands for 'generation.' However, the 'G' in 10G stands for gigabit. It has nothing to do with the generation sequence in mobile technologies. What we call 5G or 6G refers to generations. 10G, on the other hand, is a unit of speed, just like '10 liters' or '10 kilograms.' A generation does not change just because speed increases.
We stated this clearly during the broadcast. Even if technology were to advance to telepathy, the next generation in mobile communication would be '6G,' not '10G.' Yet, the media in Turkey is in a state where it cannot make the most basic technical distinction. Unfortunately, this ignorance is not only embarrassing; it also distorts society's perception of technology.
The video of the 'out-of-control robot' circulating on social media is another manifestation of this mindset. The footage of the robot flailing its arms and going wild is most likely fake. Even Boston Dynamics' dancing robots are limited to a maximum of 1-2 minutes of video. This is because the motors, batteries, and servo systems can only handle that much for now. If that robot were truly that powerful, it would have gone down in the history of robotic engineering. It didn't. Because it's fake.
Artificial Intelligence is Coming to WhatsApp: So Where Does Privacy Begin?
Meta is integrating artificial intelligence into WhatsApp. It will summarize unread messages and offer writing suggestions, but supposedly it will never touch user data. Words are dancing in the air. 'Processing data without touching data' is one of the quantum fallacies of the modern age.
The truth is: these systems still hold plain text, there is still a risk of model leakage, and they can still be exploited through prompt injections. Meta markets this as 'Private Processing,' but security is not achieved through promises, but through transparency. Even ChatGPT today keeps command history and prompts in its memory. How WhatsApp will manage this remains unclear. And uncertainty is the enemy of trust.
Pesticide Residue is Everywhere
A social media post by Pınar Kaftancıoğlu has once again brought the weaknesses in the pesticide analysis system to our attention. She says, 'If you take a clean product and say,
But there is something worse. You question the pesticide test of the tomatoes and cucumbers you buy for your home, yet when you order a pizza, you have no idea which field the tomatoes inside it came from. We know where McDonald's gets its potatoes because that chain is audited. But what about smaller chains and pizzerias? We have no information at all. We just eat it.
The riskiest products are cucumbers, strawberries, lettuce, and tomatoes. Moreover, some types of pesticides cannot be removed by washing. Chemicals mixed into irrigation systems penetrate the fruit at a molecular level. In other words, an aesthetically pleasing tomato can turn into a chemical weapon.
