Is Artificial Intelligence Destroying Jobs, or Raising Quality?

Last week, I came across the report published by Anthropic titled “Labor Market Impacts of AI: A New Measure and Early Evidence.” The picture presented by the report is quite interesting: although artificial intelligence has the capacity to perform many jobs in theory, its use in the business world is still limited, and for now, the data does not show a massive wave of unemployment (Anthropic, 2026). On the other hand, it is observed that entry-level hiring is slowing down, especially in fields like software development and data analysis. This fits the classic dynamic of technological transformations; new technologies first eliminate the simplest tasks. However, I think this process may not just be a story of job loss. If some white-collar workers shift to different fields, the number of people working in craft jobs could increase, and service quality could rise. At the same time, artificial intelligence can take over standard tasks and increase production quality in many areas. In the end, a different picture than we thought might emerge: stronger artificial intelligence systems on one side, and better masters and craftsmen on the other. This combination could raise the overall efficiency and quality level of the modern economy.
