Palestine and the uprising of hope

Sometimes a climate of nightmare dominates the earth. Like the Great Depression of 1929 or World War II... Unfortunately, the world is going through a similar period of nightmare today.

Wars that shake the earth on one side, such as Russia's attack on Ukraine and Israel's attack on Palestine, and economic crises, food crises, and energy crises on the other. In short, the earth is moving toward an uncertain state of madness where everything is turned upside down.

It is as if humanity is trying to root out its own existence. For instance, a few countries possess nuclear weapons capable of destroying the world several times over, and they continue to produce these weapons.

There are billions of people on earth, but they are not living. Because billions of people are in deprivation and misery, and therefore cannot benefit from the blessings of life.

The reason for this is that most of our planet's resources are under the control of certain circles.

Those who dominate the international community display a hypocritical attitude toward problems. On one hand, they claim to be in favor of human rights and freedoms; on the other hand, these powers resort to every method to obtain their interests wherever they may be, at any cost.

In short, the earth is heading toward a period of total collapse. The stance taken by most developed democracies following Israel's attack on Palestine is the clearest indication of this situation. Unfortunately, the world's democratic forces have not yet been able to develop a concrete roadmap to solve this process.

Faced with this picture, the question we are confronted with is: What can I do?

I know that building a world where there is peace, freedom, and justice is not easy at all. However, we must not turn our backs on life. Therefore, we are obligated to struggle for a brighter world.

First and foremost, it is our duty to react to the massacres and oppression against the oppressed Palestinian people within a democratic framework. Furthermore, all diplomatic channels must be used effectively to ensure a ceasefire and to begin peace negotiations as soon as possible. Additionally, we must try to strengthen solidarity among peoples to prevent the institutionalization of imperialist lies.

Because acting selfishly drags humanity into a swamp. Contributing as an individual to strengthening the will of the world's peoples for solidarity in the context of humanity opens the door to a brighter world.

Along with all of this, it is necessary to defend secularism and contemporary education, which are the guarantees of democracy, freedom, and social peace, to the very end.

In short, for democratic forces that stand for humanity and modernity, raising their voices in every country they are in for an education system based on reason and science, one that activates curiosity and imagination and rises on a foundation of conscience and compassion, as well as for secularism, could be a good start to overcoming these difficult times. Such efforts would be the first steps toward building a fair, free, and peaceful earth. Only then will hope rise.
