Come on, dear dervish! Spit it out...

A Bektashi father and a Bektashi dervish were slowly making their way home. It was evening, and darkness was about to fall. A rain had also started—the kind they call 'pouring down in buckets'.

The Bektashi dervish was a very foul-mouthed man. Every other word out of his mouth was a curse. The Bektashi father was very saddened by this and could not seem to reform his dervish. One day, he called the dervish to his side and said:

-"My son, what is to become of you? Every other word you speak is a curse... This is a very bad habit. Do not curse. Give it up. I am at a loss as to what we should do. I am very saddened by this state of yours."

The dervish replied:

-"Oh wise one, I do not want to curse either. But I cannot control myself. I cannot overcome my ego. I cannot hold my tongue. I promise myself that I will not curse again, but I forget my promise and curse once more. I am at my wit's end; you tell me what to do, and I will follow your instructions. I cannot find a way out of this on my own."

The Bektashi father thought long and hard and found a solution:

-"My son, place a fava bean under your tongue. Whenever you feel the urge to curse while speaking, remember the bean and do not curse." The dervish accepted the Bektashi father's suggestion and began to put it into practice. Indeed, he stopped cursing. Whenever a curse came to mind, he would remember the bean under his tongue and refrain from cursing. The Bektashi was pleased, and the dervish was pleased.

One day, our Bektashi father and the Bektashi dervish were...  They were passing in front of the house. Just then, a woman appeared on the balcony:

"Oh, holy men," she said to the Bektashi father. "Wait a moment." Our group began to wait. But the woman showed no sign of coming back out. A heavy rain also began to fall. Eventually, after some time, the woman appeared on the balcony. She said:

Thank you, holy men, you may go now. The Bektashi father replied:

-"My dear girl," he said, "what happened, why did you make us wait?  It is pouring rain on our heads. What did you want from us?"

The woman said:

-"Holy men, I was setting my hen to brood... I made you wait so that the chicks would hatch with crests. Because in front of the door  if a Bektashi father with a 12-segmented turban waits while a hen is being set to brood, the chicks will hatch with crests. So, I did that." Bektash called out to the dervish beside him:

"-Come on, my lion, spit out what you've got in your mouth."

There are moments when a person truly wants to just spit it out.

No money has entered the workers' pockets yet due to the minimum wage increases. It seems the longer they delay it, the more profitable it is. But when it comes to the receivables of certain contractors, suitcases full of money are piled up in front of them at lightning speed.

There is no money on the horizon for retirees either. It's all about base salaries, core salaries, or endless excuses about why it can't be done.  In the end, neither the retiree nor the laborer gets what they deserve. But when it comes to big capital and capitalism, every kind of convenience is provided. Well... now, how can you not just spit it out?

Our unions appear before the authorities, gliding along like blushing brides. The only thing missing is them being served coffee by the committee.  Are our unions completely unaware of the obvious fact that prices will not fall without an increase in production? Inflation will not fall without an increase in production. And production will not increase without public ownership. If you hand over all the country's economic assets, markets, mines, and everything else to private enterprise, this is what will happen. What will happen is poverty, injustice, and high costs. The cause of high costs is capitalism. It is the business circles and big capital. Unfortunately, the government is behind all of this. This cannot go on like this. Now, how can you not just spit it out?

Sir, there is no one looking into or questioning the electricity companies. Price hikes are coming one after another. The power goes out every other minute. The bosses are enjoying themselves; the energy bosses have plenty of energy and plenty of money. The public is silent, and the unions are even more silent. How can one not just spit it out?

All laborers must put up a serious fight for the public economy, for public ownership, for a mixed economy, and for statism. If you just hold out your hands and look into the eyes of capital and the government with a sad, helpless expression, they will only put as much money in your hands as they feel like. They will tell you to fend for yourselves. Just as it has been until now, no one will care about you.

Dear laborers, those who stand with labor, and unions: come on, spit out what is on your mind. Speak up, organize. Have a claim for a solution, have an ideology. We will continue to struggle like this for a long time. If we stand up, we will be saved from struggling.

Unfortunately, there is no union in Turkey that performs its duties at a sufficient level. They receive high salaries and ride around in official cars. As for political parties, they do not care at all. Almost all political parties are liberal.

This cannot go on like this.

Labor needs to be organized.

Do not be fooled by the suggestions of the brainwashers on television.

Workers and those who stand with labor!

The solution lies with you, the remedy lies with you.

The remedy lies in organizing.

We must be our own remedy for our own troubles.

Otherwise, if it is left to waiting for mercy, we will be waiting for a long time.
