How do we overcome political contamination?

From what necessity were political parties born?  

Under what conditions did they come into existence? 

Political parties were born out of political, economic, and class-based needs. With capitalism, the dictatorship of money also began. Political parties were born out of the need for solidarity and struggle against this dictatorship. “Capitalist exploitation reached its peak, especially in the 19th century. It was under these conditions that the need for solidarity among laborers increased even further. Political parties were born not only from the needs of laborers but also from the needs of the ruling classes.”

Over time, political parties became alienated from their original functions and entered the service of capitalism. Today, there is no political party that stands on the side of labor. All of the political parties in parliament are liberal parties. Parties that side with labor are trying to survive with very small vote shares.

Every social structure has its own way of creating a political system. Economic power relations and the property and class interests formed based on these also constitute the foundation of this structuring.

The 19th century, the labor movement, has an influence that still shapes today's world. (Hobsbawm, 1998: 9) In other words, the political party appears everywhere and at every stage where the political system has become complex to a certain extent, where society has begun to transition from a feudal model to an industrial society, and where people want to participate in decisions that will address social problems, and therefore, where those who govern need to be controlled. (Öztekin) 

In particular, political parties were shaped amidst the class interest struggles that existed in the 18th and 19th centuries. Class interests also have a reciprocal relationship as both the cause and the result of social revolutions. 

Duverger states that the reasons for the birth and origins of parties are linked to the emergence of parliamentary groups and election committees.

The goal of political parties is to seize power. In fact, today, political parties have become tools for seizing power. After seizing power at the national or local level, they have transformed into tools for enrichment. Tender corruption, zoning corruption, and the handing over of mines to capitalism are all the handiwork of political parties. Political cadres are, to a very significant extent, in pursuit of personal gain.

The opposition is in a dirtier and more corrupt state than the government, and the government is in a dirtier and more corrupt state than the opposition. 

How can a party that sides with labor get rid of this dysfunction and corruption? It can be saved with five revolutionary steps. 

First step: Members paying dues according to their income with a sense of fairness, regularity, and discipline. If there is no mandatory dues system in a party, or if the issue of dues is not taken seriously, that party can never be saved from being contaminated, contaminating others, and becoming corrupt. 

Because everyone does their best to fill the party with their own community of fellow townsmen, their tribe, and the like. In fact, these members who are stuffed into the party, these artificial members, do not even vote for the party. We have all seen many examples of this after election results are published. These members are also called nylon members, artificial members, or fake members. They have neither knowledge nor belief regarding the party's ideology or goals.

So, what are these nylon members good for?

These nylon members are useful from one delegate election to the next. They vote for the delegate list prepared by the neighborhood delegate boss. No one who is not on the list of the neighborhood delegate boss can become a delegate. Even if they were to perform miracles. The delegates chosen by these nylon, these fabricated members, are district delegates.

They all have demands. They will vote in the direction the neighborhood delegate boss says, but only if you hire their son. Or if you hire their daughter. Or if you hire a relative. These neighborhood delegate bosses can even cooperate with other more influential party figures to get people hired for money.

Then, these neighborhood delegates elect the provincial delegates at the district congress. Various neighborhood delegate bosses come together and choose one of the district presidential candidates as the district president. The candidates establish crony relationships with them to get their votes. Therefore, the district administration and provincial delegates are determined by these neighborhood delegates and delegate bosses. Although the party's members are people with a certain culture and consciousness who are respected in their circles and have their own jobs, a bunch of self-serving people use the party for their own interests to represent them.

Then, the provincial delegates elected at the district congresses hold the provincial congress. At the provincial congresses, the provincial board of directors, the provincial president, and the party convention delegates are elected. The convention delegates then elect the party assembly and the chairman. A crowd unaware of the party's program, principles, and history determines the fate of the country and the party. And here, all kinds of dirty games can be played. Spies, separatists, thieves—everything can be harbored in such parties, and unfortunately, they are being harbored. 

But if dues were to be paid, a person could not bring their tribe or fellow townsmen group into the party. Because the delegate boss would not have the power to pay that many dues. To be able to pay this contribution, i.e., dues, regularly, one needs a certain level of consciousness. Therefore, if we want to save the country, if we want real democracy, party members must pay dues. Parties consisting of members who do not pay dues are harmful to the country. They are harmful to democracy; they contaminate society and the party.

Second step: intra-party education

Intra-party education is political consciousness education. The history of the country and the history of the party are taught. The member's duties and responsibilities are taught. A correct sense of citizenship is taught.

The third step is the activity of the members

The activity of the members is also a form of education. An educated member provides necessary and useful services to the party and the public. The party gains strength and trust in the eyes of the public through such services.

Fourth step: Scientific politics.

This is conducting politics on the basis of knowledge and productivity. It is conducting politics on the basis of science, reason, and scientific expertise.

Fifth step: Participation.

This is taking the opinions and suggestions of members into account when making decisions. Participation makes intra-party democracy necessary and mandatory. Intra-party democracy cannot be realized in party structures consisting of a leader plus a crowd.

You can hold primary elections in parties dominated by educated, active members who pay their dues. 

Another problem for the party is the municipalities. Since these municipalities have also become gateways for profit, the provincial and district organizations have lost much of their meaning. For example, in the Republican People's Party (CHP), the real provincial president is the Metropolitan Mayor.  The real district president is the district mayor. Metropolitan mayors determine the provincial and district congresses. 

Mayors make deals with the chairman. They vote for the chairman and his list, that is, the party assembly, in the direction indicated by the chairman. Therefore, a structure oriented toward the dictatorship of the chairman emerges. All kinds of lawlessness and immorality can happen here now. Such parties cannot be the guarantors of democracy either. They have nothing to do with democracy. Only gangs of interest run rampant. What do you expect from such a formation, such a structure? Why is there no one reacting to this!
