Ali Rıza Pasha.

He was his teacher at the War Academy. When Atatürk graduated from the Academy, he was arrested for plotting a coup against Sultan Abdul Hamid; who knows, perhaps he would have been executed or dismissed from the army. Ali Rıza Pasha intervened and ensured the sentence was lightened.

He was exiled to Damascus.

Ali Rıza was his teacher at the Academy and the School Commander. He ensured the continuation of Atatürk's struggle. Thanks to his teacher, young Mustafa Kemal would be able to carry out revolutionary work in Damascus.

And as soon as he arrived in Damascus, he founded a secret society. Its name was; "Homeland and Freedom" (Vatan ve Hürriyet).

The goal was to save the Turkish nation from the wreckage of the collapsing Ottoman Empire and to establish a new state.

Colonel Hasan Bey.

He was his teacher at the Thessaloniki Military Rüştiye (Middle School).

The Homeland and Freedom Society did not take hold in Damascus, Beirut, or Jaffa, so Atatürk turned to Macedonia, which had a climate suitable for revolution.

He came to Thessaloniki.

Since the society was secret, he had come to Thessaloniki secretly and without permission. He could not work in Thessaloniki, where he had come secretly to establish a branch of the Homeland and Freedom Society, without authorization. He needed to obtain a medical report. However, Şükrü Pasha, whom he trusted very much, waffled on the issue of Mustafa Kemal obtaining a report.

He could not do anything.

This time, his teacher came to Mustafa Kemal's rescue. His teacher from the Military Middle School, Colonel Hasan Bey, intervened and ensured he received a 4-month medical report.

Thanks to this, Atatürk was able to begin his revolutionary work with the secret organization he had founded. If it hadn't been for his teacher, Colonel Hasan Bey, Atatürk would not have been able to carry out his revolutionary work. He would have been caught. Who knows, perhaps he would have been hanged, or perhaps he would have been dismissed from the army.

Immediately, Atatürk began his revolutionary work...

He found Captain Bursalı Tahir Efendi. He was his teacher from the Thessaloniki Military Middle School. He held a meeting at Hakkı Baha's house with his teacher and 4-5 friends. Hakkı Baha was not Mustafa Kemal's teacher; he was his friend from the War College. But he was also a teacher at the Thessaloniki Military Middle School at the rank of captain at that time.

As soon as the meeting started, Mustafa Kemal began to speak;

"Friends," he said. And he continued;

-"My purpose in gathering you here tonight is this; I do not see the need to tell you about the disasters our country is experiencing. You all know this. We have important duties toward this unfortunate country. Saving it is our greatest goal. The nation is being ruined under oppression and dictatorship. In a country without freedom, there is death and destruction. The mother of all progress and salvation is freedom.

History today imposes certain duties upon us, its children," he said, and listed what needed to be done.

Later, he met with another one of his teachers. It was secret. It was about the organization. The teacher's name was Nakiyüddin Yücekök. He was a captain. He was a French teacher.

He explained the situation to him as well. He received support from him too. Atatürk loved his teacher Naki very much. He learned many things from him. For example, he learned the saying "The truest guide in life is science" from Naki Yücekök. He was the one who taught Atatürk his first ideas about the future.

He had to return to Damascus again.

He returned. But 2 years later, he returned to Thessaloniki this time by appointment. He started working at the 3rd Army Staff Office. Then, he was forced to become a member of the Committee of Union and Progress, albeit reluctantly. He attended meetings, but after a while, he was excluded from this organization. In the end, the Committee of Union and Progress carried out a revolution, which was called the July 1908 Revolution.

The constitution was accepted, and the Second Constitutional Era (Meşrutiyet) was declared.

However, about a year later, a counter-revolution occurred, and reactionaries in Istanbul rebelled to destroy the Constitutional Era. The members of the Committee of Union and Progress fled. Talat Bey took refuge in Thessaloniki. Talat Bey was the Edirne Deputy and the Second Speaker of the Parliament.

The First Speaker of the Parliament, Ahmet Rıza Bey, went into hiding. The Prime Minister could not go out on the streets. However, Captain Mustafa Kemal, who was in Thessaloniki, wanted to form an army, march on Istanbul, and crush the reactionaries and rebels. However, he had to convince the 3rd Army Commander Mahmut Şevket Pasha, the Regional Military Governor Hüsnü Pasha, and Talat Pasha, who had carried out the Committee of Union and Progress Revolution. But they were not very warm to this idea either.

They were hesitant.

Mustafa Kemal's teacher came to his rescue again. Together with Nakiyüttin Bey, they went around to all the military and political commanders in Thessaloniki until morning. They convinced them to form the Action Army (Hareket Ordusu) and suppress the rebellion.

The Action Army was formed, and the Constitutional Era was restored in the Ottoman Empire.

Let's come to 1915, the Gallipoli Campaign.

It is actually the war that made Mustafa Kemal a hero, a savior. One of the turning points of that war was when Colonel Mustafa Kemal was given the task while Conkbayırı was about to fall. It was not just an ordinary task. The duties and powers of the 5th Army Commander, German Marshal Liman von Sanders, and the 3rd Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Esat Pasha, were given to Colonel Mustafa Kemal.

This transfer of duty changed the fate of Mustafa Kemal and, consequently, the Turkish nation. The Gallipoli Campaign was won with this change of duty. The person who spearheaded and proposed giving this task to Mustafa Kemal was the 3rd Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Esat Pasha.

And he was Mustafa Kemal's teacher from the War College (Harbiye).

General Yakup Şevki Subaşı.

Lieutenant General Naci Eldeniz and many others. All of them were Mustafa Kemal's teachers from the Military Middle School, the War College, and the Academy.

A teacher is not just someone who trains a student and changes a student's fate. They are also the ones who change the fate of a society, of a nation. That is why Atatürk did not carry out the revolution alone.

His teachers were personally by his side.
