Yes, there are.

Well, is there compulsion in religion or not? Let's take a look.

To answer this question, we should point to contemporary practices and scientific explanations, but let's not do that; let's use examples from the language the conservative segment understands, that is, from religion itself.

First of all, is religious education mandatory in schools in our country?

Yes, it is more than mandatory. It is so mandatory that there are 16 hours of religious classes in primary and secondary education. Foreign language, sports, and arts classes have been narrowed down, scientific subjects like mathematics and science have been reduced, and the total of scientific subjects is at a lower level than religious and religion-weighted subjects. Furthermore, practical training in mosques and imams coming to schools is also mandatory.

According to the new weekly course schedule, the way has also been paved for 18 hours of Arabic lessons to be given in the first grade in all middle schools. Of course, this news was presented almost as good news in some newspapers.

This is the state of our education.

Well, if we ask ourselves a very simple question; will our country prosper with religion-weighted classes?

If the answer to this question is "yes," is there any country that has prospered with religion-weighted classes? No.

On the contrary, let alone prospering, the poorest and most exploited countries in the world are those that provide religion-weighted education.

Let's put these aside; why are we, as Turks, teaching Arabic to our children? Or does any Arab country teach Turkish to its own children in its schools? Of course not.

So, are mandatory religious classes contrary to the Quran or the Islamic religion? Yes, they are contrary. On the contrary, mandatory religious classes are contrary to the Quran.

Here is Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 256; it says, "There is no compulsion (and pressure) in religion."

Surah Yunus, verse 99, says; "If your Lord had willed, all those on earth would have believed together. So, will you force people until they become believers?"

It is possible to multiply these examples.

From this, it is understood that the mandatory religious classes implemented in our country are contrary to the Quran.

As if all this were not enough, now mandatory religious education is coming to preschool, is it?

The instruction is from the Palace. From the illegal palace, of course.

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin announced that the curriculum applied in schools would be "simplified." According to the announcement, religious classes, which start in the 4th grade of primary school, will be extended down to preschool.

This is what he calls simplified.

In addition, "religion"-themed topics will be added to all subjects. In other words, while there are architects, engineers, doctors, etc., we will develop the country with imams. And we will hand the country over to religious communities and sects.

This situation is more than just an act of revenge against the Republic on its 100th anniversary; it is, as you can understand, the collapse of the state. It is wanting the dissolution of the state.

They have already ruined secular education and scientific thought with the ÇEDES (I Am Sensitive to My Environment, I Protect My Values) system, and now they are going to destroy education from the roots.

The Taliban in Afghanistan provides the same education. What is the difference? There is no difference.

Only the location is different. They are in caves, we are in buildings. But the education is the same education.

The Minister of National Education had also said that "girls' schools could be opened." With this statement, he meant to say that he would end co-education. If it continues like this, in 3-5 years someone similar will come out and say, "it is not religiously permissible for girls to be educated," and that will be it.

And that's that.

Education is the guarantee of a country's future. The education system, which is the future of our country, is unfortunately a disaster.

We stated the verses above. There is no compulsion in religion, and therefore in religious classes in education. The Quran says "do not force." For example, Surah Al-Kafirun, verse 6, is also against forcing people into a specific religion. What you are doing is contrary to the Islamic religion.

It is contrary to the Quran.

Education is the future of a country. As Atatürk said, "Education either makes a nation a free, independent, and developed society, or it enslaves it and leaves it to misery."

Contemporary education is mandatory.

Religion, however, is not mandatory. It is a voluntary act of worship between God and the servant, performed at home or in mosques.

But yours is the final betrayal that leads the country to disaster.
