Its meaning: because there is no one to stop or oppose them, they act however they please.

The Patiswiss incident, which has dominated the agenda in recent weeks, has clearly shown us that the number of people suffering from power intoxication is far higher than we estimated. Crushing people, stealing rights, looking down on others, and taking advantage of people's desperation have become fashionable. Important virtues like shame and pride are on the verge of being forgotten…

There are many allegations regarding the lady who is the CEO of the brand. Those are already being written and discussed extensively. When the Swiss brand Patiswiss issued a statement saying, "we have no connection with these individuals and the brand," a normal person would be mortified, but these people do not care. Your lies, your theft, and your mistreatment of your employees are being talked about, yet you do not even blush.

We encounter these types so often lately… Why? Because it does not occur to an honest person to protect themselves from the existence of such people; they do not know this kind.

Most of us have domestic helpers in our homes. This is not new; it has been going on for years. Working mothers entrust their children to them, those with busy lives, those who do not want to spend time on chores like cleaning and ironing, those with elderly or sick relatives in need of care—we all purchase their help. They, too, earn their own money by working in our homes, striving to reach the homes and living standards they dream of. They earn their money in exchange for their labor. I have no words against those who work honestly and rightfully, and I have great respect for them.

Most of these people are foreigners; at one time they came from Moldova and Ukraine, we would handle their work permits, some did not ask for work permits, and it suited some of us.

Then, as our currency lost value, they began to prefer European countries like Germany and Italy rather than working in Turkey. They would earn an average of 500-600 dollars and work with an admirable discipline. Of course, the dollar was not this high back then. Most of them were women who knew foreign languages, played musical instruments like the piano or violin, and had nursing training. Many were university graduates. It was a win-win situation; everyone was happy.

Then, when they left, Uzbek and Turkmen women began to take their place. At first, they were also wonderful because we knew what we wanted. Then everything started to change.

What you will read from here on was not written with the intention of belittling anyone.

Unfortunately, those university-educated, disciplined women whom we were not afraid to bring into the safe space of our homes were replaced by a greedy and unreliable group that wants to take advantage of people's difficult situations and earn a lot by working little. Women who had never seen any tool other than a straw broom in their homes back home, who were uneducated, greedy, and unskilled, began to arrive. Prices started to be discussed in terms of 600-700-800-900-1000-1200 dollars. They are unskilled, do not know how to operate a machine, but want a thousand dollars… they have big dreams. Houses, cars, beautiful clothes… Well, do you even know how much the dollar is today?

Of course, some people who distribute gold to the women working in their homes and drink their own coffee in gold-rimmed cups also have a share in this. The working women who see this inevitably expect the same from you, but you cannot explain it. Even if you say, "I am not like them, look where they are now, they might have earned their money easily, but I earn mine with difficulty," they do not understand.

We entrust our homes, our children, our valuable belongings, and our lives to people we take into our homes without knowing them, without knowing what is inside their heads.

We have become slaves to illegal, undocumented people.

We could not organize, but they did. They set up very crowded WhatsApp groups, shared information; they know everything about which of us is in a difficult spot, who is good, who left whose house, who entered, and they use this.

They do not hesitate to let you down, they stand up to you, they just walk out because there is no binding reason. They have no fear of their work permits being canceled; they go from house to house with the thought, "I'll leave here and enter another place." They stuff your winter clothes in the summer and summer clothes in the winter into their bags little by little and take them away; they yell at your children, maybe they hit them in places you don't see. They left their own children behind, and in reality, they have no tolerance for our spoiled(!) children.

Now take this template and apply it to workplaces; their men are also working in our workplaces.

They carry food to your door, bring cargo, and so on… and most importantly, thanks to this, your addresses, phone numbers, and personal information fall into their hands. I am talking about personal information; are you aware of the danger?
