News channels have grown tired of broadcasting "breaking news" alerts.

We are heading downhill at great speed like a truck with failed brakes.

One must be blind not to see that the country's end will be a great catastrophe.

However, there is no intention whatsoever to shift into reverse or turn back.

It is at such a point that there is no turning back from here.

It strikes and strikes, breaks and breaks. It is waiting in ambush to crush the throat of anyone who dares to make a sound.

The public has almost become afraid of its own shadow.

At the same time, it will ensure that the Islamist Kurds, who have kept the AKP in power until today, also align behind it.

It knows that handling these things as easily as taking a hair out of butter is not that simple.

This is exactly where the trouble begins!

It fears that the growing reaction among a not-insignificant portion of society might erupt from an unexpected place, and that it would subsequently grow like a snowball, turn into an avalanche, and that it and its regime would be buried underneath it.

The possibility seems like a nightmare!

The hatred it harbors for Gezi in its subconscious must stem from this!

The goal of the area cleanup is precisely to neutralize political figures who have the potential to turn this snowball into an avalanche, to intimidate those who want to carry the flag of opposition, and to strike fear into the hearts of social media warriors!

Thus, since the people of our country will adopt the silence of the lambs, they will be able to handle what they want quite nicely.

It is worth sitting down and speaking honestly.

Neither Özgür Özel, nor Ekrem İmamoğlu, nor Mansur Yavaş, nor Müsavat Dervişoğlu is a significant threat to the government and its "new paradigm."

These are not names with the charisma and potential to lead millions, seek rights, law, and justice, pull the people of our country out of this quagmire they have fallen into, or restore republican values.

It is certain that if it snapped its fingers, Özgür Özel would stand at attention before it. Moreover, ever since he talked about softening, warming up, and used the term "Türkiyeli" (person from Turkey) like the fake leftists, Kurdish nationalists, and funded pundits, he has had neither credibility nor believability.

From now on, it wouldn't matter if he performed miracles.

As for ideological clarity, good luck finding it!

When Devlet Bahçeli said, "Let Apo come and speak in Parliament," it was Özgür Özel himself who grabbed the salt shaker and ran.

As for Ekrem İmamoğlu, his political life hangs by a thread. Say what you will, he is a typical "Laz contractor..."

When he oversteps his bounds against the government, they slam the investigation file right on his head. His political life depends on a court decision. In such a situation, it is uncertain whether the CHP organization would stand behind him, or for how long!

Mansur Yavaş does not have the charisma to drag the masses behind him. While he may gain points when he doesn't speak, the probability of him ruining things when he opens his mouth is very high.

Müsavat Dervişoğlu can only make his voice heard by his own circle.

Let's come to Ümit Özdağ and Hüseyin Baş…

Both are "threats" that must be eliminated immediately for the government.

The Victory Party (Zafer Partisi) did not achieve significant success in the local elections, but alarm bells started ringing in the palace with the reaction Ümit Özdağ showed on January 5th to the government's honeymoon with the DEM supporters, saying, "We are not against this or that point of the process, we are against the process itself, and we have stated clearly that we will sabotage this process.”

Ümit Özdağ had taken a principled stance against the new paradigm, doing what Özgür Özel could not. He did not engage in an approach that would legitimize Abdullah Öcalan and the PKK in order to scrape three or five votes from Kurdish nationalists. He had taken a clear and unambiguous political position without mincing his words.

He knew that his words had a great deal of resonance with the public.

They realized that the snowball could turn into an avalanche at the rally held in Antalya two weeks later.

When he touched a nerve by talking about the homeland and the nation, the possibility of the people of our country shaking off their lethargy could have emerged.

Not only the segment that calls itself nationalist, but also those who could not find the ideological clarity, openness, and defense of Republican values they were looking for in the CHP, and those who could never trust the IYI Party, had started to turn their compasses toward Ümit Özdağ.

He could have caused the game to be spoiled before it even began.

The government did not take that risk.

It acted quickly; just as Selahaddin Demirtaş was put in prison after saying, "We will not let you be 'President'," Ümit Özdağ headed for prison after his words, "We will sabotage this process.”

As for Hüseyin Baş, they were content with just pulling his ear for now. Since he has influence on the government's base, they are following every step he takes carefully.
