'Do you think everyone is blind and the world is foolish?'

The registered terrorist Abdullah Öcalan said that the PKK should dissolve itself, and the question immediately crossed my mind: what will happen to the money the terrorist organization earned from drug trafficking?

Let's say, as they are trying to push on the people of our country, the PKK laid down its arms without any negotiations, the organization's leadership cadre and militant ranks said, "this is as far as we go," and submitted their retirement petitions from terrorism; in short, spring has come to the country; Tayyip received a guarantee from the DEM party members that he would sit in that seat until his time is up, and Sırrı Süreyya began to "see the benefit" of the Republic after being cured of his Turkishness;

But what about the fate of the PKK's treasure chest?

By treasure chest, I don't mean my grandmother's chest, which no one could even touch, let alone open, until she passed away, decorated with pictures of Indian Maharajas flirting with beautiful girls, and motifs of deer, elephants, and peacocks.

What I mean is the money it has obtained from drug trafficking, which has financed all its terrorist activities to date!

Years ago, at a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I asked, "How much money does the PKK earn from drug trafficking?"

It turned out there was no exact figure.

They spoke based on estimates, but they said that at that time, they believed the organization was generating an annual income of over 1.5 – 2 billion dollars from drugs.

International organizations dealing with these issues also have calculations that push the money reaching the PKK's hands up to 3-4 billion dollars.

Let's say they are all exaggerations; even if it earns one-tenth of the estimated drug revenue, this is a mind-boggling sum for those of us trying to live by adding the royalties received from 12punto to our pension salaries...

Is the PKK going to lock its doors and give up this money just because Abdullah Öcalan wants it to?

Don't make me laugh...

The real question that needs to be asked here is this:

Assuming it is as they say, who will now seize the money that is flowing in streams from a ready-made, ongoing business?

I notice that after the process Bahçeli started with a "hobaaa," there are not many people talking about this aspect of the issue.

Yet, until just yesterday, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the General Directorate of Security, and so on, were all publishing report after report on the terrorist organization's drug trafficking and the income it derived from it.

It's not secret or hidden; they are all there on the internet.

Let's write it clearly.

Whoever controls such a large sum in the region is the one who calls the shots there.

For example, if we consider that the regional Kurdish administration in northern Iraq earned only 552 million 445 thousand dollars from oil exports last year, we can understand what kind of monetary power the PKK commands.

Let's put on our reading glasses.

According to the intelligence report of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the PKK generates income by producing heroin, taxing goods passing through the cross-border territories of drug traffickers, and controlling a significant portion of the heroin markets in Europe.

DEA Administrator Asa Hutchinson determined that the PKK is involved in taxing drug shipments and protecting drug traffickers in Turkey's Southeastern region.

These reports state, "The terrorist organization PKK/KCK uses heroin production and trafficking to support its terrorist movement against the Turkish government. It controls traditional drug trafficking families and smuggling organizations."

In 1998, the Italian Financial Police reported that the PKK was directly involved in the international drug trade and also obtained illegal income from human trafficking and the systematic protection of Turkish businessmen and workers abroad.

According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), drug trafficking from Central Asia, Afghanistan, and other countries to Europe has an annual volume of 5 billion dollars. Half of this profit goes to the PKK.

According to the German Federal Prosecutor's Office, 80 percent of the drugs seized in Europe have links to the PKK.

In recent years, Interpol has determined that various Kurdish groups operating in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain have ties to the PKK while tracking their drug trade. In addition to drug manufacturing and trafficking carried out by individual cells, the PKK also collects taxes from Kurdish drug dealers in Western Europe.

There are hundreds, perhaps thousands of reports on the matter.

The common point they all reach is this:

The PKK is a narco-organization. It engages in drug trafficking to carry out its terrorist activities. It earns billions of dollars from this.

Under these circumstances, it would be naive to think that imperialist countries, which feed on the blood flowing in the Middle East, will stand idly by.
