It has long been our turn, don't you realize?

Israel struck Iran using its nuclear capacity as a pretext, and the Turkish public was immediately divided in two like a watermelon, between those saying “we are next” and those saying “God forbid, Israel cannot attack us.”

On news channels and social media, everyone is grabbing a piece of the issue and pulling it in their own direction.

Will Turkey be Israel's target after Iran?

Let us state it upfront: Under no circumstances does Israel pose a direct threat to Turkey on its own!

We know that those who run Israel—even if it is a psychopath fascist like Netanyahu—have not lost their minds. Moreover, it is quietly and smoothly conducting its trade with Turkey. Why would it disrupt that! Therefore, saying that it will put Turkey in its crosshairs and strike it with F-35s, as it did with Iran, is intended to consolidate domestic politics, if not born of ignorance.

Let us move past those who are just blustering for nothing.

But when it comes to the United States, which stands behind it without making any concessions, one must hit the brakes slightly. For America, the security of Israel is of critical importance.

We know this.

Let us evaluate the Middle East policy of the strategic game-makers in Washington within this framework. A climate must be created where all the countries in the region reach the state desired by America, and Israel can roam freely in a village without dogs, so that the matter can be concluded.

Over the past 25 years, Iraq, Libya, and Syria have been removed as threats one by one.

Only Iran remains.

Israel first eliminated Hamas and Hezbollah, breaking Iran's arms and wings. Then it started striking.

The question here, which has remained ambiguous so far, is this: Is the political goal of the operation launched by Israel merely to destroy Iran's nuclear capacity, or is it to achieve a regime change in Tehran?

If it is regime change—which it appears to be—it also knows that it cannot do this without the PKK and its derivatives, which America has been carefully nurturing and growing for years. Of course, Iran's territorial integrity must be broken first. A political gain that Kurds would achieve here, following Syria, would be a critical step for the establishment of a Greater Kurdistan that would cooperate unconditionally with America and Israel in the Middle East.

From their perspective, the issue must first reach a certain point politically in Turkey so that the steps to be taken yield the desired result.

Now, let us stop here and take a breath, and rewind the tape a bit; to better understand and make sense of the issue, let us put on our reading glasses and take a look at our recent history:

The world welcomed the 21st century with blood and tears. The political representatives of global capital barons used a terrorist attack with a very dark background, like 9/11, as a pretext and took action for their imperialist goals.

First Afghanistan, then Iraq...

They put the Greater Middle East Project (BOP) into practice!

Before they were even finished, they brought political Islamists to power in Turkey. This was a critical threshold because Turkey served as a model for the “Islamist democracies” they intended to establish in the Middle East and North Africa.

Never mind those who were becoming unsteady in the spiral of identity politics, but every Kurdist, Islamist, fake leftist, champagne liberal, and globalist in the country started to rejoice, thinking that the Kemalist tutelage would end. Islamism became respectable. Tayyip Erdoğan did not see any harm in boasting, “We are the co-chairs of the BOP.”

This was a historic opportunity not only for the Islamists but also for the Kurdists who were camouflaged within the Islamists.

The rest is history!

Within a quarter of a century, they brought Turkey to the state they wanted without firing a single shot; they needed neither missiles, nor stealth aircraft, nor a military operation.

It started with the Ergenekon and Balyoz conspiracies... Because the Turkish Armed Forces were the most important guarantee of the country's political unity and territorial integrity, but with these conspiracies, they were, so to speak, razed to the ground. Not only patriotic officers, but even the Chief of General Staff was imprisoned on charges of being a “terrorist.” The Turkish army, the apple of the people's eye, could never regain its former strength and majesty after that point.

The Gülen Community, which was a CIA apparatus, had fulfilled its duty.

It did not stop there; the arrow had left the bow. In 2010, it tested the pulse of my fellow citizens to see if it could do more by changing the Constitution.

It realized that there were not many obstacles in its way!

America's support was behind it, and things were going as it wanted! It said “continue on the path”...

Then, with the Arab Spring, the Syrian civil war, the 'ansar-muhajir' rhetoric, and so on, Turkey was silently occupied. To destroy Turkey's national identity, it opened the country's doors to Syrians, Afghans, Africans, and whoever else came from left and right.

Turkish identity was specifically damaged so that the path for the Kurdists could be cleared.

Then, with suggestions coming from across the Atlantic, it thought it was time to make the Kurdists partners in the title deed of the country. The 'opening' and 'scattering' process began, but when things did not go as it wanted, it left those who pinned their hopes on it high and dry, saying “it means there is still time.”

But my fellow citizens also sent the bill, and in the 2015 election, it almost lost its seat; it pulled a lot of tricks and solidified its power, but to avoid facing such a risk again, it decided to change the regime from the roots.

The pot boiled over with July 15. This was the opportunity... It effectively suspended democracy. It didn't stop there; it became a one-man rule and took all powers into its own hands. Even though they try to push it on my fellow citizens by calling it the “Century of Turkey” or something, the country has gone off the rails.

It is not just a little bit.

The middle class, which is the guarantee of democracy, is finished. The presidential candidate of the main opposition party was imprisoned; saying 'we are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal' and saying 'rights, law, justice' became a crime.

The economy collapsed; one segment grew fatter day by day with the opportunities provided by the government, but the vast majority of my fellow citizens fell into a state of poverty and misery unseen in the history of the republic. The cost of living and inflation went through the roof.

While every day a new corruption scandal marks the country's agenda, while the country becomes a haven for dirty money, while its land and soil are plundered, and all its assets are handed over here and there, we suddenly saw that Bahçeli, who was throwing a rope just yesterday for Abdullah Öcalan to be hanged, has set out to be a peace dove. The 'opening and scattering' issue that could not be concluded in 2015 has this time turned into an equation of pleasing the Kurdists, but more importantly, America and Israel, in exchange for a Constitutional amendment that will ensure Tayyip Erdoğan sits in that seat until his time comes.

What more could they want? A situation of killing several birds with one stone...

In short, when we look at the state and conditions the country is in today, it will not be a matter of Turkey being put in the crosshairs like Iran for either America or Israel. Whatever is to be done in the Middle East and how it is to be done depends on a phone call from Washington.

Hadn't Trump already called after settling into the Oval Office and said, “We will work with you on our regional policy”? Or did Tayyip Erdoğan give the answer, “No, I will not work with you, your Middle East policy is against our interests,” and we just didn't hear it!
