Kılıçdaroğlu is experiencing a 'mental blackout'!

In an interview last week, CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, "To leave the ship safely in the harbor, I will hand it over to a knowledgeable, experienced, good social democrat. We must maintain the hundred-year legacy of the CHP. A legacy distilled through a sieve."

When asked, "Is there such a person among the current individuals?" he merely replied, "There is, but they need to become visible. Let's leave it at that for now."

If Kılıçdaroğlu spoke without thinking about what these sentences mean, he is experiencing a complete "mental blackout."

And if he said it knowingly and willingly...

Then that means the culture, philosophy, and perhaps the very political existence of the CHP are being rejected by its own chairman.

These words from the leader of the main opposition party—a party whose roots go back to the Society for the Defense of Rights of Anatolia and Rumelia, which fought the War of Independence, founded the Republic, carried out revolutions, was led by figures who left deep marks in history like Atatürk, İnönü, and Ecevit, and possesses the most educated and politically conscious voter base in the country—are falling apart in the hands of those who hold them, crumbling to pieces.

Moreover, these sentences contain serious political logical fallacies within themselves.

Does Kılıçdaroğlu not know that an approach like "handing over" the chairmanship in the CHP is out of the question, and that the person who will lead the party is determined by the party congress, which is the highest decision-making body?

Of course he knows!

If he is looking for a "knowledgeable, experienced, good social democrat" to hand over his seat, as he puts it, and if we read between the lines, this also means there are many individuals within the CHP who are ignorant, inexperienced, and not social democrats.

Is that really the case?

Do CHP members accept this?

At the same time, it is also possible to evaluate this as a maneuver by Kılıçdaroğlu to stall the delegates until the charter congress, taking preemptive action against the risk of losing his grip on the party.

The answer to the question of how you will hand over the chairmanship while ignoring the will of the congress is perhaps hidden in the background of Kılıçdaroğlu's mind.

If he thinks, "The delegate is my delegate. They won't go against my word. Whoever I point to, they will elect," then an Erdoğan has emerged from within our "democratic grandfather."

Perhaps the Erdoğan inside him had been incubating for 13 years and none of us had noticed.

So, did these words from their chairman not hurt the CHP members at all!

If we approach the subject with enthusiastic idealism, shouldn't all CHP members who are devoted to the party and have put in the effort fit this definition?

Since the highest decision-making body is the congress, isn't every single CHP member also a potential candidate for chairman?

After the congress delegates find enough signatures and nominate a candidate, can anyone oppose this?

Who is a good social democrat, who is a bad social democrat, who is knowledgeable, who is ignorant, who is experienced, who is inexperienced; is Kılıçdaroğlu the one who will decide all of this?

Is he the measurement and evaluation officer of the CHP?

Furthermore, it is common knowledge that he himself has brought many individuals into the CHP who have nothing to do with the qualities he listed above.

More than half of today's CHP is not CHP-member.

Kılıçdaroğlu's other sentences are also quite something.

He says, "We must maintain the hundred-year legacy of the CHP," and expresses that this is a legacy distilled through a sieve.

Is he not aware that an approach like handing over the chairmanship does not align at all with the hundred-year legacy of the CHP, and in fact, destroys this legacy with a single sentence?

Neither Atatürk handed over the chairmanship to İnönü, nor İnönü to Ecevit, nor Ecevit to anyone else.

CHP members elected their chairmen with their own free will.

His statements showing that he is experiencing a mental blackout are not limited to these.

Finally, at his party's group meeting, he said, "Hey Erdoğan, hand over the power to us and you will see how the Palestine issue is solved. You will see then how peace and tranquility will come to the Middle East."

It is clear that an obsession has developed in him regarding this "handing over" issue.

Perhaps because he has not won any elections for 13 years, his "normal" perception of democratic processes has disappeared.

First, announcing that he will "hand over" his chairmanship in the CHP, then asking Erdoğan to "hand over" the power...

First win the election, you will be in power anyway.

If you cannot win, you should not expect help from anyone, and you should not come out saying, "hand over the power to me."

These are not words for a leader of the main opposition to say.

Let's take a look at recent history regarding this issue.

It was 1993. Süleyman Demirel had become President and moved to the Çankaya Mansion, and Tansu Çiller had sat in the Prime Minister's seat upon being elected DYP Chairwoman.

Journalists were reporting on Çiller's gaffes almost every day.

After a while, these began to affect Turkey's foreign policy and even national security, and a significant portion of them stemmed not from slips of the tongue, but from blatant ignorance.

In fact, Çiller had no idea about foreign policy, national security, or politics.

She knew neither her society nor her country.

She was an economics professor, but to put it mildly, she was completely ignorant outside of economics.

Later, with the famous April 5 decisions, it would turn out that she did not understand economics either.

This situation bothered Demirel, and he would constantly warn her during their weekly meetings at the Çankaya Mansion. Since the rebukes delivered in polite language seemed to have no effect, Çiller continued to speak nonsense without losing any of her performance.

During an official reception at the Çankaya Mansion, journalists brought up the subject and asked Demirel a question along the lines of, "What will become of this Çiller situation?"

Demirel paused after swallowing a couple of times and said, "My brother, a politician should know what not to say more than what to say!"

Kılıçdaroğlu, like Çiller, did not grow up in the political school of the party he leads!

He does not know the culture and philosophy of the party he chairs, the dynamics that brought that party to the historical stage, the characteristics of the party base, or the enlightenment paradigm of his party.

That is why he speaks according to where and how the wind blows.

Books will already be written about how he has eroded the political existence of the CHP for 13 years, how he has made the party right-wing, and how he has emasculated it by pulling it toward a sectarian and identity-based line, but before that, CHP members are facing a historical turning point.

And this opportunity must not be wasted.

Let us conclude our article by saying that the salvation of this country, which is increasingly sinking into medieval darkness in the hands of the political Islamist mentality, is possible only if the CHP is saved from the hands of those who are not CHP members and those who are enemies of the CHP.
