My fellow citizens won't hold them accountable anyway

The country is in flames...

From the economy to politics, from education to health, from justice to national security, everything we touch falls apart.

We are living in a dystopia.

The political Islamist mentality is draining us to the bone with inflation that it deliberately and intentionally triggered to transfer capital to its own cronies.

So much so that 98 percent of my fellow citizens are struggling to hold on to life below the hunger and poverty line.

I am not making this up; it is written in the United Nations' 2023 Sustainable Development Report. The calculations of the Consumer Rights Association also confirm it. This is not hidden or secret; these are facts that anyone can find in open sources.

The state of retirees is already dire. There are those who have reduced their intake to one meal a day because their pension is not enough, and those who collect rotten vegetables and fruits from the trash in the evenings.

We are wallowing in extremely deep poverty.

Due to inadequate and poor-quality nutrition, developmental disorders have emerged in our children. The vast majority of my fellow citizens never see meat, milk, or eggs.

We are witnessing not only an economic crisis but also a terrifying social decay that has developed as a result.

For instance, as poverty increases, so do child marriages!

Teenage gangs are terrorizing the streets; drug use has reached almost as far down as primary schools. Youngsters with guns tucked into their waistbands are acting like thugs here and there.

Our borders are like a sieve.

It is like a revolving door; there is no telling who is coming in or going out. Illegal migrants, asylum seekers, new mafia bosses imported from here and there, Slavic thugs who cannot even speak Turkish, jihadists, terrorist organization leaders, and bloodthirsty hitmen—whose masters are either unclear or all too clear—are running wild in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Adana, and Bursa.

Crimes such as murder, extortion, assault, harassment, rape, smuggling, kidnapping, drug trafficking, and money laundering are increasing exponentially.

In short, the one-man regime and the parasitic crowd that feeds on this regime are choking us almost everywhere. They are doing their best to make the country unlivable. There is a shameless plunder taking place.

For us, it has become a situation where "the earth is iron and the sky is copper."

Just as the circumstances and conditions are manifesting in such an unfavorable way for all of us, we suddenly see that the person responsible for all of this is busy showing off here and there in America. They are spending the tribute they collected as "taxes"—by taking the bread from our tables and the sustenance from our children—on grand advertisements for his own majesty in New York.

It is clear that they have paid millions of dollars for illuminated billboards featuring his quotes and photos on the streets of Manhattan, and for advertisements on the sides of trucks driving back and forth.

But the foreigners do not really respect or take such advertisements and publicity stunts seriously.

Does he not know this? Of course, he does.

It is obvious that this show of strength in New York, adorned with flashy but empty slogans like "The world is bigger than five," is not for the people there, but for the masses here who will eat whatever they are fed and believe his majesty is a "world leader."

It is a sort of preparation for the elections already.

No matter what anyone says, he knows my fellow citizens very well, determines his strategy accordingly, and sets up his game in politics accordingly. He knows very well that even if they are starving to death in the country, they will not hold him accountable for the money thrown around in New York or elsewhere.

How, you ask? Let's flip through the pages a bit.

There is a study conducted by the German Friedrich Naumann Foundation with the Association for Liberal Thinking.

It is very new, fresh off the press.

Although I am extremely wary of German foundations, I must say that the results of the study in question are remarkable.

Most of them confirm the observations we have made as journalists within the country.

For example, anyone who is educated, literate, and concerned about their people and their future is extremely unhappy with the politicization of the judiciary. Even if you are just a tiny bit opposed to the government, you cannot escape the judges appointed by name by the White Palace, and you end up dragging yourself from one courtroom door to another.

Let's not even go back to what happened in the Ergenekon and Balyoz conspiracy cases, but the scandals that have erupted one after another in the judiciary recently are known to everyone.

Perhaps it is the country's biggest problem, its bleeding wound.

Everyone knows that without justice, neither the economy nor society nor politics can improve.

Although it seems that not many people other than a few bigots object to the idea that justice is the foundation of the state, it is understood from the study that the reality is not quite like that.

In this research, it has emerged that, unfortunately, there is not a sufficiently strong demand from my fellow citizens for an independent and impartial judicial system.

They asked, "Do you approve of the President calling members of the judiciary regarding their decisions?" 40.82 percent, almost half, answered "yes."

In other words, there were not many objections to the phone calls made from the White Palace to judges to ensure that decisions unfavorable to the government were not issued.

Similarly, one-third of the survey participants said, "It is not a problem for me" for the Minister of Justice to be a member of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK). One in four people supported the government's reassignment of judges it did not like to other places.

Now for the ten-point expert question!

Do my fellow citizens want the government's expenditures to be audited?

Under normal circumstances, in countries where a somewhat democratic mentality has taken root, the vast majority of the public should answer "yes" to this question.

But the situation is a bit different for us. Almost 40 percent of those who participated in the survey found this unnecessary. In other words, let the government squander and waste our taxes, and let no one hold them accountable for it.

If you look closely, the rate of those who support the government's practices more or less overlaps with the votes it receives in elections.

This is where the crux of the matter lies.

His Majesty knows this very well.

That is why he can squander and waste as he pleases. He is aware that as long as he has this mass behind him—which he can expand whenever he wants by invoking religion, faith, homeland, and nation—his power and his government will not easily be harmed.
