Boğaziçi University spends 2.4 million TL on riot control training for security guards

The Boğaziçi University Rectorate held a tender in November.

The name of the tender was "Professional Intervention Techniques and Tactics Training for Protection and Security Personnel."

The only company that participated in the tender won it with a bid of 2 million 389 thousand 800 TL.

The cost of this project was set at 2 million 486 thousand 733 TL and 60 kuruş.

Up to this point, there is nothing unusual according to national standards.

However, the training provided is as follows:

- The structure of terrorist organizations and the strategies they follow

- Measures that can be taken within and around the university

- Approaches to be applied against terrorist incidents

- Crowd management, and conduct during social incidents and uprisings.

- How to establish communication in conflict situations

- Internal institutional communication rules

- Protocol training

- Analysis of suspicious movements

- Reporting of risky situations

- Practical studies with scenarios

- Wedge, V, and Roof formations

- Crowd management and safe zone creation techniques

- Simulation of incidents

- Implementation of crisis and conflict scenarios

- Studies aimed at improving team coordination

A total of "80 Protection and Security personnel" received this training.
