Exam-victim generations and the bottomless pit

The 2025 High School Entrance Exam (LGS) has laid bare our fundamental problem. We have a problem with reading comprehension and reasoning.

Our inability to understand what we read and our issues with reasoning constantly emerge in exams such as the LGS, YKS, and even the ALES.

Our schools try to stand out in terms of foreign language education, social activities, and exam preparation courses. Private schools demand tons of money. Families put everything they have on the line to support their children.

We price schools by looking at their massive campuses, playgrounds, and sports halls.

We do not put any thought into what our schools and teachers can contribute to our children in terms of critical thinking (reasoning and interpretation).

The result is clear... We are bankrupt when it comes to learning foreign languages, solving mathematics, interpreting graphs, and reading comprehension.

While the problem is right in front of us, we are just lingering around the solution.

Unless we focus on the investments to be made and the steps to be taken to develop reasoning, we will not be able to approach a solution.

1 million 10 thousand 916 students took the 2025 LGS.

2 million 560 thousand 640 students registered for the 2025 YKS.

Millions of hopes, billions in money, billions of hours, and a massive disappointment...

Unless we place importance on critical thinking, philosophy, logic, text interpretation, and composition, the situation will not change.

If we cannot learn to approach our children correctly for every task and attitude we perform, that we must perform, and that is expected of us, we will not be able to raise our children.

What happens if we do not get rid of this situation? Crowds are managed by emotions, cheap propaganda and advertisements seize minds, hostilities shape politics, and masses obey without question. How familiar, isn't it? We are exactly at this point, and there is no exit in sight.
