The paradigm is shifting: Transhumanism

Bertolt Brecht has a beautiful poem: "How strong your tank is, General / It clears a forest / It crushes a hundred people. But it has one little flaw: It needs a driver."

The rest of the poem is similar... Brecht explores how the tools possessed by the ruling classes cannot operate without humans, and that humans will think and rebel.

Now, that "little flaw" is being resolved. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the internet of things, advanced automation systems, smart factories, artificial intelligence... The tools of the system are becoming unmanned.

The Left has general assumptions. These assumptions need to be reviewed.

1) "History will vindicate us!": History is thought of as a court of justice, like a God who delivers rights to the rightful. The solace of being proven right on the stage of history and the effort to cope with the fear of death lead the Left to this idea.

2) "Either barbarism or socialism!": Socialism is presented as the only alternative to barbarism, and it is desired that socialism be approved based on the premise that barbarism is undesirable. However, it is not clear what is meant by "barbarism." Furthermore, how long this process will last—that is, the time parameter—has not been handled soundly. There is a tendency to neglect the weight of decisions that will produce results far beyond the lifespans of humans. See the global climate catastrophe.

3) "The system needs workers": While it is not clear what is meant by "the system," a system is on the horizon that is "workerless" or has workers who do not possess human qualities in the sense we know. As such, the idea of the Left, which relies on the power of angry and desperate masses of people crowded into 19th and 20th-century factories, is collapsing.

In addition to the dismantling of these general assumptions one by one, a technology for creating a human whose genetics, physiology, and capabilities have been transformed and whose functionality has been improved is already in operation: Transhumanism. Setting aside the ethical, political, legal, psychological, and many other problems it will bring, Transhumanism opens new doors for the "system."

Due to pandemics, the global climate catastrophe, war-induced migration, sterilization, avoidance of childbirth, etc., the population growth rate is decreasing. If this trend continues, beyond just a decrease in the growth rate, the human population itself will decline.

A political-economic system is emerging that does not require the effective use of crowds. When the effective use of crowds is not required, the manufacturing of consent by the masses, the social state, and democracy will all become unnecessary.

Concepts and institutions such as "international law," "EU law," "EU criteria," "democracy," and "human rights," which many considered gospel until yesterday, have long since lost their credibility.

The paradigm is shifting. Faster than ever before. The "masses," which we considered the fixtures of the paradigm, have now turned into a dispensable element of this changing paradigm.

Transhumanism undoubtedly carries possibilities for the masses as well. However, as with every new technology and every new transformation, which possibilities will be realized depends on who holds the reins.
