War is contagious

Due to globalization, neo-liberalism is in a political and economic crisis. Neo-liberalism is attempting to overcome its own crisis through war and occupation.

The occupation and partition policies of imperialist countries, led by the US, are making a new global bloc formation inevitable. While imperialism occupies a country and divides its underground and surface resources, it affects not only the occupied country but many others as well, forcing them to pay even heavier prices for this policy of war and occupation.

Ultimately, the war between Iran and the US did not affect only Iran. Turkey, in particular, as well as the European Union and many neighboring countries, were affected by this unjust war.

In very simple terms; Turkey's current account deficit, foreign trade deficit, and energy deficit have doubled or are about to double. Therefore, all economic and financial data will have to be revised.

Globalization is once again forcing nation-states toward welfare nationalism and economic nationalism. Localism and national identity have once again become the path to salvation.

No place in the world is safe anymore. Every war causes ideas, fears, nationalism, feelings of revenge, and security concerns to spread from society to society. The risk of war increases during periods of globalization crises. This, in turn, fuels nationalism and militarism.

“Although war is economically costly, globalization makes countries interdependent” is a narrative that has lost its validity. Phenomena such as dependency, supply chain crises, and energy wars are creating new tensions. For this reason, energy basins, renewable technologies, water resources, and trade routes are turning into strategic conflict zones.

Globalization now increases the tendency toward war. Globalization has shaken the trust between countries, broken supply chains, negatively affected energy and food security, and, in the final analysis, intensified technological competition. This situation produces results that are detrimental to developing countries.

Due to the contagious effect of war, it has become mandatory for developing countries to produce for themselves. Protecting and directing strategic sectors has become inevitable. Energy and technological independence have become indispensable.

Countries must exit hyper-globalization, move toward regional bloc formation, and create a security-focused economic model. If these are done in the first stage, we can escape the contagious effects of wars.

Imperialism must not spread its own crisis and policies to developing countries. A false paradise is promised to exploit the underground and surface resources of these countries. Countries that believe in this false paradise ultimately experience hell.
