The pollution that has long been on the agenda in Turkey's administrative, financial, media, and political structures has turned into a process of purification.
An unspoken "Clean Hands" operation is effectively underway. Whichever stone you turn over, you find corruption, graft, and illicit relationships underneath. While the state is being plundered on one hand, pitch-black darkness, moral decay, and shadowy connections are being exposed on the other. In short, corruption is occurring in every field of our country.
For the country to be cleansed, politics must be cleansed first. In a country where politics is not cleansed, there can be no administrative, financial, or economic purification. Political instability—that is, corruption and moral decay—leads to the waste of public resources and a lack of trust in the state. They have placed their own interests at the center. The feudal lord and sycophant relationships remaining from the 1980s now find life in politics, trade, and the media.
Those who exploit the state, wherever they have gripped it, have presented this immoral structure to us as if it were moral norms; however, there is no longer any tolerance for the legality of this process. Arbitrary governance and illegality must cease to be a norm. In these illegal areas, a purification process has begun with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's "Clean Hands" operation.
The riffraff, who have long used the democratic regime—that is, democracy—for their own interests, have reached the end of the process of making democracy degenerate and lawless. Our country no longer has the tolerance for the riffraff, who lack knowledge and competence, to be effective in politics and to attempt to turn democracy into ochlocracy.
The burden that the corruption incidents alone have brought upon our country and its citizens is forty billion dollars.
The output of the relationship between politics and morality sometimes comes with dirty hands, and sometimes with clean hands. This is a matter of choice. In every choice, there is a renunciation or an acceptance. If you have made a choice regarding dirty hands, deviating from principles and betrayal have become a way of life. This is exactly what is happening in our country today. Therefore, clean hands are needed to cleanse.
Sometimes, achieving a moral result emerges as an immoral act. That is, if the conditions have been created by others, it also appears as a situation where it is seen as legitimate for a person to betray their own values and relationships.
A bad tension is being experienced between politics and ignorance in our country. This situation becomes the reason for the politician's hands to become dirty, and the politician makes a choice more in favor of dirty hands. From time to time, the politician seeks social consensus to legitimize deception and lying. Sometimes, society may even see this dirty politician as a hero.
In fact, a tainted shrinking is extinction and death. Purification, on the other hand, is a rebirth. While becoming tainted is a shrinking, impoverishment, and injustice; purification will be in favor of development, growth, and justice. As a result, we will either continue to be tainted and shrink, living with injustice, or we will cleanse ourselves, grow, and live with happiness and justice.
