I only watch Turkish series

I don't have any platform channels in my home. 

Not Netflix, not Disney+, not Amazon Prime, not Max, not BluTV, not PuhuTV, not Gain, not Exxen, nor Tabii.

I am not subscribed to any of them. And I don't intend to be.

I also don't understand how a person can tie themselves to so many platforms.

In the past, series were watched on TV channels once a week on their broadcast day. I am still one of those who watch series that way.

Movies used to be released in theaters first, and then on TV channels almost a year later.

Just as we consume everything else, we have reached a point where we consume series and movies on these platforms in one sitting. 

We have started finishing a 12-episode series in one night by staying awake and going to bed at 5 in the morning. 

Films are no longer being made for the cinema, but for these platforms. 

Alongside the world's quality series, those trashy series have also easily entered our homes. 

Homosexuality and lesbianism have become normalized thanks to these series. 

Genderlessness has been consciously instilled in our children. 

Do not say that these platforms are paid services and people can choose to watch them if they want. These platforms are now in every home, and even if there is no television in their rooms, our children can easily watch them on their computers, iPads, or phones.

I am sorry, but we have lost control.

Turkish series are popular all over the world.

I am also one of those who watch Turkish series. 

In recent years, many Turkish TV series have achieved great success. They have been sold all over the world and have won awards. 

I will talk about the series currently on air. 

The most successful series of this season is 'Taşacak Bu Deniz,' which airs on TRT1. 

It is filmed in the Sürmene and Araklı districts of Trabzon. Like the rest of Turkey, the people of the Black Sea region are obsessed with this series. 

The script is excellent. The actors are magnificent. 

Ulaş Tuna Astepe (Adil) and Deniz Baysal (Esme) are in the lead roles. They are very, very good. 

But my favorite lead is Eleni, played by Ava Yaman. She is an incredibly successful actress. I take great pleasure in watching her.

Burak Yörük (Oruç), Onur Dilber (Gezep), Yeşim Ceren Bozoğlu (Zarife), Aytek Sayan (Şerif), Erdem Şanlı (İso), Hande Nur Tekin (Sevcan), Burcu Cavrar (Hicran), Gamze Süner Altay (Şirin), and of course Zeynep Atılgan (Fadime) also captivate the audience with their performances in the series. 

They are all very successful actors.

Taşacak Bu Deniz featured a much-discussed scene in its 10th episode this week. 

They had Şerif (Aytek Satan) kill Özge Arslan, who plays the character "Ballı" that I also love very much, with a single bullet.

It was a mistake to do this at a time when violence against women is our red line. 

Whether they did the right thing or the wrong thing, we will see in the coming episodes. 

Taşacak Bu Deniz, which airs on Fridays, has dethroned Kızılcık Şerbeti, which airs on the same day on Show TV, this season. 

Kızılcık Şerbeti has lost its audience this season due to its script. 

The show's lead actors, Evrim Alasya (Kıvılcım) and Barış Kılıç (Ömer), seem like they are in supporting roles this season. 

The departures, which began with Sibel Taşcıoğlu (Pembe), continued with Sıla Türkoğlu (Doğa), Emrah Altıntoprak (Mustafa), and Ece Ertem (Işıl). 

Özge Borak (Salkım), Seray Kaya (Başak), Hakan Karahan (Tuncay), and Yalçın Hafızoğlu (Emir) have newly joined the cast. 

Let's see; even if Kızılcık Şerbeti doesn't take first place this season, it seems unlikely to lose its second-place spot to anyone.

Another one of the most successful Turkish series is Uzak Şehir.

Uzak Şehir, which premiered last year, airs on Kanal D on Mondays. 

The series captivates both Mardin and all of Turkey. 

However, this series has also recently hit a dead end in terms of its script. 

The decision to kill off the brother of lead actor Ozan Akbaba (Cihan) and the husband of Sinem Ünsal (Alya) in the first season only to bring them back to life in the second has drawn backlash from the audience.

Everyone, including me, is curious about what will happen in the upcoming episodes of this series, which features successful performances. I hope they don't make it any more nonsensical. 

Gonca Cilasun (Sadakat), Müfit Kayacan (Ecmel), Sahra Şaş (Nare), Atakan Özkaya (Kaya), Ferit Kaya (Demir), Dilin Döğer (Zerrin), and Alper Çankaya (Şahin) are the other protagonists of the series.

I am addressing the screenwriters: The audience wants Burç Kümbetlioğlu’s (Boran) character to die. Just so you know. Or, if Boran switches to his father Ecmel’s side, well, that is when things will change. 

Last season, Show TV’s successful series Bahar was moved from Tuesday to Sunday after experiencing a drop in ratings. 

Demet Evgar (Bahar) and Buğra Gülsoy (Evren) made a great duo. Both were successful as doctors in the series.

Replacing Bahar on Tuesday nights, 'Rüya Gibi' premiered, starring Seda Bakan (Aydan), Ahsen Eroğlu (Çiğdem), Uğur Güneş (Emir), Şebnem Bozoklu (Fikriye), and Celil Nalçakan (Tarık). 

I am watching it. It is a successful series.

The winner of Wednesday nights is Eşref Rüya. It is one of Kanal D’s successful series. 

Çağatay Ulusoy (Eşref Tek), Demet Özdemir (Nisan), Görkem Sevindik (Kadir), Necip Memili (Gürdal), Büşra Develi (Çiğdem), Tolga Tekin (Müslüm), Ahmet Rıfat Şungar (Faruk), and Ceren Benderlioğlu (Irmak) are the cast members of Eşref Rüya. 

I must mention this. 

Görkem Sevindik, who brings the character of Kadir to life, has surpassed the Eşref Tek character played by Çağatay Ulusoy. Take it from me. Especially the dance Kadir performs has currently taken all of Turkey by storm. 

One of the winners of Thursday nights is Veliaht, which premiered this season on Show TV. 

Akın Akınözü (Timur), Serra Arıtürk (Reyhan), Ercan Kesal (Zülfikar), Erkan Kolçak Köstendil (Yahya), Hazal Türesan (Derya), Derya Karadaş (Kudret), Tansu Biçer (Vezir), Bora Akkaş (Zafer), and Erdem Şenocak (Beyazıt) have carried Veliaht to the top with their successful performances. 

Of course, Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı, which airs on NOW, is the Thursday night leader. It is filmed in Urfa. 

İlhan Şen (Serhat) and Aybüke Pusat, who was dismissed from Teşkilat on TRT 1, also star in Halef in the role of Melek. 

Speaking of Teşkilat, it is one of TRT 1's fine productions. It is the winner of Sunday nights and has been on the air for 4 seasons. 

Tolga Sarıtaş (Altay), Tuvana Türkay (Kate), and Yunus Emre Yıldırımer (Korkut) are the young heroes of the series Teşkilat. 

Neither Taşacak Bu Deniz nor Kızılcık Şerbeti; the true winner of Friday is Arka Sokaklar. It has been on screens for 20 years. That is no small feat. 

Zafer Ergin (Rıza), Şevket Çoruh (Mesut), and Özgür Ozan (Hüsnü) will retire from this series just like civil servants. 

The winner of Saturdays is also from Kanal D: Güller ve Günahlar. 

Murat Yıldırım (Serhat), Cemre Baysel (Zeynep), Gülenay Kalkan (Sevim), Serdar Orçin (Cihan), and Gizem Sevim (Ebru) lead the cast in Güller ve Günahlar. 

My favorite actor in the series is Kader, played by Yade Arayıcı. She is 7 years old. Watch it; you will love Kader too. 

I also don't want to pass this by without writing it: at the beginning of this season, an event occurred that had never happened in the history of television series. 

Suddenly, we saw that İnci Taneleri, starring Yılmaz Erdoğan, did not premiere on Kanal D on Thursdays; it couldn't. 

Kanal D is leaving Thursday nights empty. They are airing reruns. 

İnci Taneleri has also fallen victim to Yılmaz Erdoğan. 

We learned that Yılmaz Erdoğan has taken on a new project. He is filming Organize İşler: Karun Hazinesi. That is why he has put İnci Taneleri on hiatus. 

I assume BKM owners Necati Akpınar and Yılmaz Erdoğan have considered the futures of their actors. They must be paying the actors. Otherwise, which actor would wait? 

Yılmaz Erdoğan (Azem) would wait, of course, but why would Hazar Ergüçlü (Dilber), Kubilay Aka (Cihan), Rıza Kocaoğlu (Nusret), Selma Ergeç (Piraye), Güven Kıraç (Kasım), or Yasemin Baştan (Nergis) wait?

A friend of mine said something about the show the other day. 'Did you notice that Yılmaz Erdoğan has made every woman in the series fall in love with him?' 

I replied to my friend, 'Oh, how wonderful you are, andropause.'

I love our TV series.

I am also aware that producers are filming these series under very difficult economic conditions.

I also applaud our actors who make us love these series from the comfort of our warm homes.
