We have surpassed London in terms of high prices

I wrote about this 2 years ago, and I am writing about it again.

I am no longer just saying stop to these prices; I am saying "make them stop."

Will we as a country never learn? We have been seeing this more clearly with each passing day.

I spent last week in London.

Everything in London is cheaper than in Turkey.

Whether you eat at the best places in London or at mid-range spots, the prices are half of what they are in our country.

Do you know what the only expensive thing is? Water...

Only water in markets is expensive.

Most restaurants provide water for free.

But don't forget this: In London, people drink tap water at home. They also make their tea and food with tap water.

I will also go to Miami in October.

I will stay for 3 nights.

The price for a 3-night hotel stay in the heart of South Beach, facing the ocean, is 400 dollars including taxes. That is 16 thousand TL. That is 135 dollars per night. That is 5 thousand 335 TL per night.

For the same dates, I will use Akçay as an example again.

If I want to stay in Akçay, the nightly rate for a hotel is 6 thousand TL.

I wrote about this 2 years ago, and it was expensive then. I am writing about it 2 years later, and it is still expensive.

Doesn't it seem strange to you that the hotel I will stay at in Akçay is more expensive than the hotel I will stay at in Miami Beach?

I won't even mention the hotel prices in Bodrum.

Doesn't this seem strange to you too?

Prices in Turkey have gone through the roof.

I am having a hard time understanding how this is happening anymore.

The point reached in our country in terms of tourism is pathetic.

Everyone I talk to complains about the high prices.

This country is already expensive for those of us living here.

It has now become an expensive country for tourists coming from abroad for vacation as well.

In England, the homeland of tea, the price of tea is cheaper than in our country.

In London, you have a croissant with tea or coffee at the best place, and the money you pay is 4 pounds. 220 TL.

In our country, this price is multiplied by 2. That is 440 TL.

Hotels in holiday regions are operating at 50 percent capacity.

Restaurants and cafes are closing the day at a loss.

The streets of Bodrum are empty.

Alaçatı's famous Hacımemiş neighborhood, where you couldn't walk due to the crowds, is empty.

But for some reason, no one is willing to admit a mistake. No one is saying, "Where are we going wrong?"

In Bodrum, the entrance fee to a beach for a family of 4 has exceeded the minimum wage.

Instead of staying in a hotel in Bodrum for 1 week, you can vacation abroad for 1 month.

Don't you ask yourself, "How can this be?"

Right now, the Greek islands are overflowing with Turkish tourists.

Those vacationing on the Greek islands are satisfied, those vacationing on the Spanish coast are satisfied, and those vacationing on the Italian coast are satisfied.

Neither the Turks nor the tourists vacationing on our beautiful Aegean and Mediterranean coasts are satisfied.

In Italy, a croissant was 2 Euros last year and it is 2 Euros this year; coffee was 2 Euros last year and it is 2 Euros this year.

Who will put a stop to these prices?

If we want to go down in history as the most expensive country in the world, we are on the right track.

If we don't have such a claim, let's ask ourselves: where are we going wrong?
