Pandora's Box has been opened

Zeus gives Pandora a box and tells her never to open it.  However, Pandora gives in to her curiosity and opens the box one day. Thus, all evils begin to spread around...

Yesterday, Pandora's box was opened.

Those who thought peace would emerge from it and that white doves would spread across the sky were first stunned by the absence of white doves. Then, evils began to be released into the air, bit by bit.

Yet, they had prepared quite grandly. First, the threatening face of the baby killer appeared on the giant screen, and the long-awaited call was read.

The crowd gathered in the square in Diyarbakır to listen to the call made no sound. They began to disperse silently. Even though those who felt compelled to do so in Istanbul gave a standing ovation, there was no enthusiasm.

While the term "Mr." (Sayın) has been used in the recent process, those who always remember that he is a baby killer, the families of martyrs, and veterans looked at that face with disgust.

The terrorist leader began his letter by first exonerating the PKK. He claimed that the PKK, the anti-democratic conditions created, the closure of democratic political channels, and She explained that it emerged as a product of the Republic's uniformist policies.

She stated that under current conditions, the developments achieved in freedom of expression(!) in the country, along with the dissolution of identity denial, have led to a lack of meaning, causing the PKK to begin repeating itself, meaning it has reached the end of its lifespan.

For this reason, she called for it to convene its congress, lay down its arms, and dissolve itself.

In short, she left the decision  to the PKK.

However, as I have written many times before this call, this was a negotiation. What was to be demanded from the State in this negotiation?

Some of the demands were included in the text of the call. “Respect for identities, their ability to express themselves freely and organize in the democratic sphere, and the socio-economic structures that every segment adopts for themselves are only possible with the existence of a democratic society and political sphere”.

I would like to draw attention to the underlined lines here.  As explained in detail in Öcalan's Democratic Confederalism Doctrine, it is about not only the Kurds, but all ethnic, religious, and national groups being able to organize and make their own decisions in the social and economic sphere through the people's assemblies they will establish.  is foreseen.

For this reason, the 'Ocalan Doctrine,' like the call text, rejects 'a separate nation, federation, or administrative autonomy.'

What Ocalan understands by the concept of democratization has been clear for years. With the pirate declaration presented by Sırrı Süreyya Önder at the end of the meeting, Ocalan's demands regarding the dissolution of the PKK have come to light. Even if it is a declaration of the obvious, let us deliver the message from the primary source.

What did Ocalan say?  “While presenting this perspective, it undoubtedly  requires, in practice, the laying down of arms and the dissolution of the PKK, and the recognition of its democratic, political, and legal dimensions.”

In other words, the emergence of its political and legal dimensions is put forward as a prerequisite for the dissolution of the PKK.

The first thing to be done from now on will be  the establishment of a negotiation table. Issues such as Kurdish identity, education in the mother tongue, public service, the release of PKK prisoners, amnesty for terrorists in Qandil, and regulations regarding local administrations have already been placed on the table....

What is the AKP doing? While the AKP maintains its silence, the first statement came from Binali Yıldırım. He stated that "the definition of citizenship could be reviewed in the new constitution." He also proposed "decentralization in local administrations."

As for the CHP, following the Öcalan statement, it said, "It is important for the terrorist organization to lay down its arms and disband. The requirements of this call must be fulfilled by the relevant parties  .... Undoubtedly, issues are not solved with wishes, but by establishing an environment of trust and through concrete actions.... The necessary legal regulations for democratization must be enacted." he said. He continued his politics in limbo with subtle clues.

How much we need a strong opposition that will say "stop" to this shameful spectacle being staged, to the State engaging with a terrorist organization and its leader in the 102nd year of the Republic, and pinning hopes on it,  that will disrupt the game at the table,  don't we?
