SHUT UP!

We have seen this movie before...

It was a period when the arrests in the Ergenekon, Balyoz (Sledgehammer), and Espionage cases recklessly extended to the country's most well-known intellectuals, heroic commanders, journalists, writers, and university rectors.

Those who raised their voices to protect the secular, democratic nation-state and the Republican Revolutions were taken captive in the Silivri Concentration Camp, and the society's nationalist reflex was broken in the climate of fear created at the grassroots level.

With indictments prepared using fake evidence, Republican intellectuals were slandered, patriotic soldiers were accused of attempting coups, and they were charged with founding a terrorist organization.

The subliminal message of those days was "SHUT UP."

The message of the days we are living in now is also "SHUT UP."

Because a project that requires the creation of a new climate of fear in the country has been put into motion.

In the Silivri trials, it was the cries for "secularism" that needed to be silenced.

Today, it is the dissenting voices regarding the new process initiated with Öcalan, and the warnings of those who see the background of the so-called peace calls, that need to be silenced.

Everyone in society who has influence is getting their share of this.

The detention of Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ on charges of insulting the President, and his arrest with a hastily prepared file for inciting the public to hatred and hostility, is just the beginning.

The attempt to pin the crime of organizing the Gezi Protests on Ayşe Barım, who was detained on allegations of causing a monopoly in the sector, and the summoning of many artists for questioning, are also part of the climate of fear to be created by intimidating society.

While the government tries to cement its power by blockading CHP-run municipalities, it has rolled up its sleeves to ensure the survival of its own rule.

The rolled-up sleeves require paving the way for the Presidency forever through a change to be made in the New Constitution, no matter the cost.

The bill for this cost extends to an alliance with the DEM Party and Öcalan.

It is impossible for this nation to accept the mission of "peace envoy" imposed upon Öcalan.

It is also impossible for it to stomach the state sitting down to negotiate with the terrorist leader.

Just as it is impossible for the terrorist organization to "give" without "taking."

In Turkey's fight against terrorism, which has been ongoing since 1987, we experienced the results of the peace call made by Öcalan in 2009, starting with the Habur disgrace. In the following days, we were shaken by news of martyrs.

The question of the so-called peace talks that have started again is this;

What will be given?

The unknown of the secret bargain focuses on this question.

The statement by Presidential Advisor Ayhan Ogan contains noteworthy clues:

"Everything eventually returns to its essence. Today, the Republic of Turkey is closing a file that has been open for a century.

The greatest gain for the Kurds is to be a respectable, honorable, and equal citizen of the Republic of Turkey.

The 'Eastern Question' file opened a century ago is the liquidation of the Ottoman Empire and the partitioning of its lands.

THE LAND WAS PARTITIONED, AND BECAUSE NO KURDISH ELEMENT COULD BE FOUND TO COOPERATE WITH WESTERN IMPERIALISTS AT THAT TIME, NO SHARE COULD BE GIVEN TO THE KURDS. SOME WRONG PRACTICES DURING THE REPUBLICAN ERA DID NOT ALLOW THE FILE TO BE CLOSED.

THOSE WHO DO NOT HEED DEVLET BAHÇELİ'S CALL THAT 'THE TURKISH CENTURY WILL BE INCOMPLETE WITHOUT THE KURDS' WILL PAY THE PRICE."

The call is clear and explicit. Either you will SHUT UP or you will PAY THE PRICE!

Will those who owe a debt of life to this Homeland and our many Martyrs stay silent? Time will tell!
