86 years have passed since his march into eternity.
This nation continues its strong commitment to Him. It is determined to protect the secular republic He founded, on the path He showed.
The 86 years that have passed have only increased the need to better understand Him and to internalize the Turkey Model He created.
Atatürk enemies, emerging from their dark corridors, are drowning more each day in the insolent and spoiled hatred they display.
Every time they hear Atatürk's name, they tremble to their core and look for someone to blame.
The oath taken by the lieutenants graduating from the Military Academy also caused them to experience another fit of trembling.
A lieutenant who graduates from the Military Academy will, of course, be honored to be a “soldier of Atatürk” and will take an oath by shouting this out loud.
Let us ask those who suffer from fits of fear: Whose soldiers should the Turkish Army be if not Atatürk’s? To whom should they try to be worthy if not their own Eternal Commander-in-Chief? In whose footsteps should they swear to walk, and whose legacy should they swear to protect?
Should the Turkish officer have taken an oath of allegiance not to Atatürk, but to those who entrusted themselves to cult sheikhs, religious communities, and conspirators; to those who remained silent for years and watched this siege; to those who pruned the roots of the Armed Forces, closing their schools and hospitals; or to the so-called religious leaders who cursed Atatürk?
Instead of the Secular Republic, which Republic should our lieutenants have promised to protect?
Let us take a look at what is being said in the media;
What is it? The slogan “We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal” is supposedly too militaristic…
What is the Turkish translation of the concept of militarism? Army-ism (Orduculuk).
If a Turkish officer is not to be an “Army-ist,” what should they be?
Furthermore, anyone with average intelligence knows that the concept of “Being a soldier of Mustafa Kemal” means walking in His footsteps and on the path He showed, without wavering, without deviating, and with discipline, and that the concept of “soldier” here is a metaphor.
They know it, but they do not want to acknowledge it; they prefer to use it to intimidate the public.
At one point, the co-opted politicians of the CHP also banned the slogan “We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal” and gave instructions to say “we are his citizens” instead. But it did not stick; the ban was broken in 3-5 days.
It will not stick; this nation will continue to be His soldiers with the love for Atatürk that gushes from its bosom.
Those who are afraid even of Atatürk’s name are, in fact, those who cannot stomach the Republic He founded.
This is the fear of being unable to transform the millions who are determined to protect Atatürk’s Republic!
This is the fear of seeing that erasing Atatürk’s name from airports, stadiums, and schools, and rewarding the enemies of the republic, will yield no results!
Because the values integrated with the name of Atatürk are the load-bearing columns of the Republic of Turkey…
This is the fear of realizing that they will not be able to destroy the Turkey Model that has become an example to the world!
Let us address them in a style they are accustomed to;
“Hey, you who are afraid even of Atatürk’s name!”
See, know, and learn now that the era of military coups in Turkey has closed. The sole owner of sovereignty is the Turkish Nation. And the Turkish Nation is determined to walk on Atatürk’s path.
This nation, which is wholeheartedly committed to democracy, is determined to bury your counter-revolution moves, your “vengeful youth” projects, your love for cults, your understanding of religion that shows a sword to Atatürk—who made the Islamic religion eternal in these lands—and your economic understanding that squanders the legacy of the republic, into the ballot box.
Do not be afraid of Atatürk! Try to understand Mustafa Kemal, who is the guarantor of your existence, your faith, and your freedom. Abandon your superstitious understanding of history that feeds centuries-old grudges.
Take your place not in the ranks of the Mustafa Sabris and Dürrizades who issued death fatwas against Atatürk, who fought to save the homeland from enemy occupation, but in the ranks of the Rıfat Börekçis who, when He marched into eternity, said, “The funeral prayer for Mustafa Kemal Atatürk can be performed anywhere on the homeland soil that he purified.”
Do not deem it worthy of yourselves to praise Vahdettin, who fled his homeland by boarding an invading British battleship, or to become so insolent as to say, “I wish the Greeks had won.”
This nation does not forgive those who betray the heroes who gave their lives for their homeland, and Mustafa Kemal and his friends who gifted you a free homeland.
This nation has not forgotten, and will not forget, those who sold their pens to the enemy, the Ali Kemals who shouted “Execution, execution, execution” for Mustafa Kemal, or the British agent Sait Mollas.
You cannot destroy Mustafa Kemal with your malice and hatred; understand this now.
Try to be enlightened by the light of the Great Human, the Man Who Transcends Centuries, who is buried in the hearts of His nation but keeps our hopes alive with His light.
The famous French writer Claude Farrere said on November 11, “He is like a towering mountain. Those who live at its foothills cannot perceive this greatness.” Attain the privilege of being among those who perceive that greatness.
Write this in a corner of your mind: Every patriotic Turk is a soldier of Mustafa Kemal. And they are determined to walk in His footsteps.
You cannot make the waters flow backward!
