Assistant
It is June 1, 1999. Location: İmralı….
The 2nd hearing of the trial of Abdullah Öcalan;
The official balance sheet of the PKK between 1978-1999 is as follows: 4,472 civilians, 3,874 soldiers, 1,225 village guards, and 247 police officers were martyred.
6,036 armed attacks, 3,071 bomb attacks, and 388 armed robberies took place. 1,046 people were kidnapped by the organization.
The presiding judge asks: “Are you the leader of this organization?”
Öcalan replies: “I am the founder and leader of the PKK. I am the primary person responsible for the organization's actions and activities.”
Then he adds: “I was until I was captured. Some organization members' loyalty still continues. There has been an internal struggle within the organization since 1990.”
Furthermore, during the hearing, he states that the numbers in the terror balance sheet given above are even higher.
Upon the presiding judge's question, he also admits that “the decision to kill some people within the organization was made, but this was done in accordance with the Charter.”
It is clear that terror is not a Turkish-Kurdish conflict.
The PKK proves this.
Although its primary targets appear to be soldiers and village guards, it is actually the civilian population living in the region and our citizens of Kurdish origin who are targeted.
Those living in villages and hamlets are massacred by being lined up and shot, burned, or through bomb attacks.
Because the bread of terror is FEAR…
Let us remember some of them and NEVER FORGET this bloody history!
March 7, 1987; Mardin/ Nusaybin - Açıkyol village… 8 people, 6 of them children, were lined up and shot.
June 20, 1987; Mardin/ Pınarcık village… 30 people, 16 of them children, were massacred.
July 8, 1987; Mardin/ Midyat – Yuvalı village… 9 people, 7 of them children and 2 women, were massacred.
August 18, 1987; Siirt/ Eruh… 3-day-old baby Bahar Narin, 6-day-old baby Zeynep, and 27 civilians, 16 of them children and 5 women, were massacred.
September 21, 1987; Şırnak- Güneyce village… 11 people, 5 women (2 of them pregnant) and 4 children, were massacred.
October 10, 1987; Şırnak/ Çobandere Hamlet… 13 people, mostly elderly, women, and infants in cradles, were massacred.
May 9, 1988; Mardin/ Nusaybin- Taşköy… 11 people, 8 of them children and 2 women, were massacred.
June 22, 1992; Batman/ Gercüş… 10 people, 8 of them children, were massacred.
October 1, 1992; Bitlis/ Cevizdalı village… 30 people, 8 of them children, were massacred.
October 21, 1993; Siirt/ Baykan- Derince village… 22 people, 13 of them children, were lined up and shot in the schoolyard. Among them was little Serkan, aged 3, whose tiny body was riddled with bullets.
November 9, 1992; Diyarbakır/ Hani… 12 people, 4 of them children and 4 women, were lined up and shot.
July 18, 1993; Van/ Bahçesaray… 24 people, 14 of them children, were massacred.
January 21, 1994; Mardin/ Savur… 21 people, 11 of them children, were massacred.
July 24, 1995; Van/ Gürpınar… 12 people, 7 of them women and children, were massacred.
Massacres targeting the civilian population continued until recent dates.
On January 13, 2016; Diyarbakır/ Çınar… 6 people, three of them children aged 5 months, 4, and 12, were torn from life.
March 13, 2016; The Kızılay Güvenpark attack resulted in the death of 36 people.
9-month-old baby Muhammed, Ayaz (8), Nupela (4), Viyan Kartal (5), baby Ceylan Naz, and many other children…
The list goes on and on…
There are those who will never be forgotten.
The 1993 Bingöl Massacre. The PKK attack on our unarmed soldiers who set out on civilian buses to go to their units on the Elazığ-Bingöl highway. The martyrdom of 33 of our soldiers and the execution of our 3 kidnapped teachers.
The suicide bomb terror attack carried out in Beşiktaş on December 10, 2016, as people were leaving a match. What was the toll? 39 police personnel, 7 civilians, and 2 terrorists. The number of wounded was 166…
We have not forgotten and will not forget this bloody history of terror written with murdered teachers, attacked schools, and our heroically martyred soldiers and police officers!
Is it reasonable or conscientious to expect a 'Prescription for Salvation' from a terrorist organization that has massacred tens of thousands of our people and left behind unending pain and tears, and to ask for a 'Call for Peace' from the Baby Killer who took primary responsibility for all PKK actions in 1999?
Whose conscience among the families of the martyrs would absolve this herd of murderers?
Whose conscience would accept the freedom of a bloody terrorist leader who killed so many people?
How can hope be placed in someone responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of times more people than those sentenced to life imprisonment for ordinary crimes, and in his extensions?
This Nation will not FORGIVE Öcalan, the bloody terrorist organization PKK, or those who open the door for them!
This Nation will not hesitate to bury those who bow to imperialist scenarios holding the strings of terror into the depths of history!
Say STOP to this dark and dirty scenario!
LET US RAISE OUR VOICES TOGETHER to pay our debt of gratitude to our hero soldiers and police who were martyred for the indivisible integrity of the Homeland and the Nation!
