Last night, Friday evening, I went down to the famous Gümüşlük seafront.

From there I walked among the famous taverns on the beach.

All of them — either 2 tables occupied or completely empty.

I stopped by the burger place I used to go to — mind you, I've never even had a glass of water at the beach taverns. The customers used to be either card sharks or honeymoon couples.

He said things are very bad here, but not so bad on Kos.

When I asked what he meant by Kos, he said he had opened a branch on the island of Kos across from Bodrum, and that Turks are now hanging out there instead.

He also said that Şimşek Makkuin's men, who patrol the beach with a gendarmerie escort, have their eyes on the takings of the last 2–3 remaining tables and are going through the bills.
