After city restaurants, city construction site homes

The economic crisis has truly broken our backs.

For those like me who lived through Turkey's good times and didn't squander their money, there is no problem.

The rents they receive ensure they can live comfortably until the afterlife.

The total rent I receive from the small houses I bought when interest rates were low is more than a professor's salary.

The rent for my house, for which I used to receive 1,000 lira, has risen to 28,000 lira in 3 years.

May God bless those who caused this.

It increased exactly 28-fold.

It both pays off its own loan and leaves money left over.

Even Germany doesn't have an economic system like this.

Jokes aside, rents have long since exceeded the limits of what can be paid.

A family is no longer in a position to pay their house rent.

The rent of my neighbor's apartment, which is 60,000 lira, could perhaps be paid if 3 families rented it together.

We have returned to the 1930s.

Salaries that have equalized at the bottom are no longer even enough for nutrition.

The money I withdraw from the ATM when going to the butcher is not enough; I pay the rest with a credit card.

The prices of some products at the market are at an unimaginably high level.

Fortunately, City Restaurants (Kent Lokantaları) were opened, so the stomachs of retirees and students have seen a hot meal.

If it wouldn't be considered shameful, white-collar workers will also be lining up at the City Restaurant.

Seeing some academics who don't care about shame or anything else in the City Restaurant queue is quite a common occurrence now.

I have a colleague who constantly pressures me to go, but we haven't gone yet.

Anyway, we can say that the nutrition problem has been solved.

A clean and filling meal is possible for 40-50 lira.

Considering that even at a tea house a cup of tea is 15-20 lira, we can say that God has smiled upon us.

I am writing these things, but my intention is not to advertise, neither openly nor covertly.

Since I have no readers other than friends and acquaintances anyway, I am in no position to do any advertising.

Let it be announced to the Ministry.

My intention is for İmamoğlu, who solved the nutrition problem in the fastest way possible, to also solve the rent problem.

Is it difficult?

It is not.

By setting up temporary mobile housing in certain parts of the city, it would at least provide some relief to newly married couples or families with many children who do not have a home.

These construction-site-style houses, which can be built in a very short time, would give citizens a chance to breathe, even if only temporarily.

Until it is our fate to come to power and build social housing, the rent problem of these families would be solved.

Don't say you haven't heard.
