Anger comes, the eyes go dark; anger goes, the face turns red

Anger causes unconscious, harmful behaviors in individuals. Once consciousness returns, one feels shame for the actions taken, the face turns red, and regrets begin. To prevent this, we must rein in our anger and, in our moments of rage, avoid saying or doing things we will later regret.

These types of proverbs are taught as early as primary school.

The proverb "He who rises with anger sits with loss" is also among the most well-known.

Our lesson, of course, is not literature.

My intention is different.

In 1989, the Cold War ended.

The Russian Federation went hungry and collapsed.

East Germany was sold under the table to Federal Germany for a 50 billion mark kickback.

Countries like Poland, Estonia, and Lithuania were freed from the inquisition of the Russian Communist Party.

Despite going hungry, they never longed for the past.

I have been conducting research projects with Lithuanian and Polish academics since 2006.

I also frequently lecture at the universities of these countries.

I have formed very close friendships.

I became like a brother to the old communist professors.

We ate and drank together.

We had very long table conversations.

During celebrations that lasted until morning, we listened to the dramatic stories of the Cold War.

We became privy to the real details of the 2006 German film, "The Lives of Others."

Incredible surveillance, informers.

Such hatred has accumulated that, even though 30 years have passed, the anger toward the Russians remains alive in their memories and in every line on their faces.

It seems this hatred passed from the yield point to the flow limit with Ukraine.

The desire for revenge darkened their eyes.

They were goaded into action and, not only did they destroy a great country, but they also caused the deaths of thousands of its citizens.

Many also became refugees.

The treasury was emptied.

Trustees were appointed to its resources.

And they were left alone by those who had patted them on the back.

Perhaps they were sold out.

While trying to strike a blow at the bear, they were caught in a cross-chest hold and slammed onto the mat on their backs.

In the end, it is a pity for that beautiful, rich country and its people.
