I came across a statement by Zülfü Livaneli.

It seems he is convinced that the government has reached the end of its lifespan, as he has taken a hard stance.

In essence, the core of the matter is what I wrote about recently: that what happened to England after the Industrial Revolution in the 1800s has also happened to Turkey, but Turkey has been unable to solve this problem.

In fact, this issue, which has become a spiral, reached a point on July 15 where it threatened Modern Turkey; secularists owe a debt of gratitude to Mr. Erdoğan, despite everything.

While reading Zülfü Livaneli's statements—please see below—I remembered Cemşit from 'Salkım Hanım'ın Taneleri' (Mrs. Salkım's Diamonds), who came from the village to Istanbul and seized both the people's property and their wives.

What does Mr. Livaneli say?

“..The problem will not end with his departure.

The problem is the people who brought him to power, who helped him win nine consecutive elections, and who blindly follow him despite a multitude of corruption and governance scandals. Or rather, a segment of the public.

This mass of people has nothing to do with Anatolian Islam, tradition, morality, the concepts of haram and halal, mercy, or compassion.

This is a mass that began with migration from village to city, became neither peasant nor urbanite, detached from all value systems, turned into wild creatures, and is defined in literature as the lumpen proletariat, trying to get a share of the plunder and lies.

This segment first manifested itself through arabesque music. Beautiful folk songs, traditional songs, the great poetic tradition of Anatolia....

Therefore, this segment is not conservative; it is a new formation that offers Turkey a distorted 'modernization' devoid of moral standards.

To put it briefly: The model this segment hates most in life is Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the symbol of civilization, culture, cleanliness, and elegance, while the leader they defend with their blood and soul is the current president.

This segment, which is very large in number, will support its leader to the end and oppose the Republic, no matter what happens or which scandal erupts.

Even if Erdoğan completes his political life, they will not be late in finding another leader who resembles him. Because the decaying segment of Turkey continues to express this deterioration first through music, and then through the lumpenization and arabesque culture that dominates every area of our lives.

Lumpen culture, supported by oblivious intellectuals (!), is spreading to our very capillaries, fed by organized ignorance. If you add to this picture the immense money and power that the lumpens have seized, it is very clear that the future will not be easy for any of us.

Erdoğan is the leader of this mass, and there is no doubt that they will find a new leader in his absence.

The suffering will continue until the masses defending the enlightenment of Mustafa Kemal unite, resolve the contradictions among themselves, and create a Turkish culture that defends universal values.
