Culture Minister Sunay Akın

Years ago, I posted a tweet.

I wrote that having Sunay Akın serve as Minister of Culture for 15-20 years uninterrupted would 'place the Turkish nation among civilized nations.'

I added that there was no other remedy.

Thankfully, Sunay Akın heard what I wrote somehow and called me.

He thanked me very much.

He emphasized repeatedly that politics is not his lane.

I already know from a friend of mine who works as a contractor in Göztepe that he has no interest in money or wealth.

The land for the toy museum could have made not just Sunay Akın, but seven generations of his family wealthy.

Instead, he sells tickets for five or ten liras, forgoing the rental income of that valuable land, and tries to broaden the horizons of children with his toy museum.

It is clear that he also desires heaven.

May he have a long life; what else can I say? In this day and age, living without bowing to rent-seeking is not something every man can do.

Anyway, a lot of time has passed since that day.

His closest friend is the Mayor of Istanbul, and the other passed away early.

Since then, Sunay Akın has become more visible.

He has begun to attract people's attention not only with his theatrical plays but also with his political figures.

Sunay Akın, who has long earned people's appreciation with his strong intellectual background and pure conscience, is also gaining acclaim in the political climate.

It is clear that the Gods are not remaining indifferent to this process and are bestowing a duty upon him.
