Did private schools even exist in the past!!

In recent years, there has been a private school obsession.

The middle class is skipping meals, taking out loans, and heading down the path of private schools.

They don't want their children to interact with ordinary citizens. They prefer a sterile environment.

They struggle so their children can learn English, play sports, receive inflated grades, and wear bow ties.

Then, they complain about tuition hikes at private schools, or this and that.

These opportunities are now available in public schools as well.

Schools have started calling for next year's registrations.

The situation is dire.

Millions are flying around.

Since the government-announced price cap is binding, private schools have loaded the costs onto other expenses.

They are asking for 500 liras for a single meal—which is just cold beans and pasta with tomato paste.

And an ayran.

The total comes to one hundred thousand a year.

For that money, you could eat steak every day in London.

The clothing prices are also terrifying. 

Even King Salman doesn't spend that much on his abaya.

But we deserved this.

Children of middle-class families like ours do not, and cannot, go to private schools anywhere else in the world.

I mean, is it worth paying this much money just so a child learns to write a "handkerchief"?

Did we die or go hungry just because we couldn't say "where is the nearest post office"?

Well, if you want your child to learn early so they can at least become a shelf stocker at a supermarket, that's another story.

With this model where money is thrown down the drain, they will only end up as a cashier or a shop assistant anyway.

 If you say, "How can one employ teachers for free, or learn the cunning trick of teaching 'this is a book' and deceiving parents into thinking their child is at a B-plus level so they can start life one step ahead," that's a different matter.

Or else, off to public school.

Let my final word be this.

All schools up to high school should be nationalized. The rich and the poor should study together. They should be friends. The consciousness of being a nation should develop.

Otherwise, it doesn't seem very possible.
