If Atatürk is winning, why is the CHP losing?

As a civil engineer, my writings do not have much depth.

I try to make inferences by matching historical events with mathematical data.

Otherwise, my comrade-in-arms and fellow reserve officer, Prof. Dr. Barış Doster, analyzes our recent history deeply and comprehensively.

From the founding of the Republic to the end of the Cold War, he can count how many deputies were named Kazım, along with their middle names, in a second.

An engineering team like mine can only perform a "blind analysis" using economic and technical figures.

Let me perform one of these analyses based on the Istanbul Chamber of Civil Engineers elections.

In the elections held on Sunday, a candidate close to the government won by 42 votes after 42 years.

How did the candidate close to the government, who is going through difficult days due to economic reasons, manage to capture the presidency that they could not capture during periods when the economy was relatively better?

Or rather, how did the current administration lose it?

How was the current administration toppled just one day after the "Atatürk Won" rhetoric used by Levent Gültekin following Bülent Arınç's statements?

How did they squander the thousands of votes they received in the previous election in such a short time?

According to the impression I gathered from afar, it might be because they managed the chamber not like a professional chamber, but with a Jacobin and elitist understanding.

They are not giving up the old Iron Curtain politburo style.

The Medical Chamber, which slanders the glorious Turkish Army—the architect of our living in safety in this geography—and the Istanbul Bar Association, which threatens the unitary state from behind the scenes, also frighten the ordinary citizen.

Of course, the overwhelming majority of these civil organization members are patriots.

However, the units loyal to Kaiser Wilhelm that infiltrated the system after the 1880s do not let go of us.

Whenever Atatürk's ideas begin to defeat the imperialists, they immediately pop their heads out from behind cover.

I hope the CHP does not lose elections with a similar approach in a period when Atatürk is winning.
