If only we had such a smart donkey

There is a perception lately that the CHP is not living up to the votes it received in the last election.

It is said that they are doing nonsensical things.

It is noted that they cannot grasp the direction of the words they speak.

They mistake the success they achieved through municipalities for the success of their own headquarters.

That is not the case at all.

The election successes of the CHP in Istanbul and Ankara are a victory that came entirely through the personal skills of İmamoğlu and Yavaş.

We have written this a hundred times, and they still haven't understood.

Let me write it once more.

Perhaps someone will understand.

İmamoğlu has clearly demonstrated that he could easily govern this country, that he has internalized the sensitivities of the Turkish nation and state, and that he grasps international geopolitics.

In his team, there is neither a former academic writer who wrote for an operation newspaper like Taraf, which was established to dismantle Modern Turkey, nor a fool who signed a declaration challenging the Turkish Army, nor a mindless wretch who once insulted the Great Savior Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

On the contrary, there are patriotic, conscientious people who are deeply committed to the values of the Republic, who love the Great Leader Atatürk, the founder of Modern Turkey, with all their hearts, and who are contemporary, knowledgeable, well-mannered, and possess high technical competence.

Let me conclude and close the topic with a story.

The Turkish people have always been known for their warrior spirit throughout their historical evolution.

They made a name for themselves.

They founded great states.

And they will found them again.

However, despite the efforts made, they could not reach the desired level in sports.

Unfortunately, they could not become a nation well-known for technological matters or production-based issues like the industrial revolution.

The state of our universities is obvious.

But we are not as unsuccessful in literature as we are in other fields.

We have very good writers.

Aziz Nesin is one of my favorites.

I owe the depth of the folds in my mental algorithm to Aziz Nesin's stories.

Especially his story "Zübük" is mind-boggling.

It was even made into a film way back in 1980.

There are many more.

Today, I ordered lemonade while in line at the school cafeteria.

Since the lemonade wasn't cold, I asked for some ice in it.

The attendant, thinking that the ice to be added would make the glass overflow, poured all the lemonade into the sink and put the ice in the glass first, then added the lemonade.

Before I could say, "Why did you pour it out? I would have drunk it up to the amount of ice," another older attendant intervened and told this story worthy of Aziz Nesin.

A district governor (kaymakam) came to a village.

He saw a donkey harnessed to a threshing floor, with a bell around its neck.

As the donkey turned, the bell around its neck rang.

He scolded the villager, asking why they had attached such a heavy bell.

"Mr. District Governor, when we are away from the threshing floor, we understand that the donkey has stopped working when the bell stops ringing.

We come and beat the donkey so that it turns and the process of separating the wheat from its stalk does not drag on.

When the District Governor advised the villager, 'What will you do if the donkey just stands there shaking its head,'

The villager replied, 'If only we had such a smart donkey.'"
