If Turkey's internal structure is tampered with, and if we grant these people, who have lived together for a thousand years, certain privileges based on ethnic or sectarian grounds—privileges that would make the administration of Turkey difficult—then Turkish nationalism will rise against it.
I must say, it is unknown what Turkish nationalism would do in response to these things.
By saying it is unknown, I mean that I am saying we must avoid things that would mobilize Turkish nationalism.
It is a very great power.
And in fact, it will counter things that would cause the survival of the Republic of Turkey or the Republic of Turkey itself to stumble in one way or another.
I am saying this precisely so that these things do not happen.
In other words, no matter what you do, Turkey is not a hollow country that will remain silent.
