It wasn't the weather that ruined us, it was CIMER

CIMER (Presidency Communication Center) is an official public relations and digital application system through which citizens can convey their requests, complaints, reports, and opinions directly to the Presidency, operating via e-Devlet or cimer.gov.tr.

Replacing BIMER since 2018, this system facilitates the exercise of petition and information rights for citizens over the age of 12, ensuring that applications are directed to the relevant public institutions and answered within the legal timeframe.

The purpose of CIMER is to establish a fast communication bridge between the citizen and the state, and to resolve requests through the highest authority.

Submitting requests, demands, and suggestions via CIMER.

It is possible to file complaints, ask questions within the scope of the right to information, and make reports.

Looking at the core idea, it sounds quite pleasant.

However, a child who hears even the slightest reproach from a teacher immediately applies to CIMER.

They even threaten their teacher with CIMER during class.

Recently, students complained to CIMER about an assistant professor in the department where I am the Chair.

And what was the reason? The professor asked difficult exam questions.

CIMER, without hesitation, demanded a statement from us.

Of course, since we didn't take it seriously, we wrote something generic so that the process wouldn't remain open and we wouldn't have more trouble.

However, even this complaint was enough to disrupt the harmony of the department.

Professors who do not want to deal with such complaint processes have resorted to preparing easier exam questions so that they don't have any headaches.
