Kemalism will also surely one day return to the mercy of God

It has been 100 years.

Modern Turkey continues its life in the footsteps of the Great Leader Kemal Pasha.

During this time, it has faced various reactionary attacks, the most striking of which was July 15.

It did not collapse.

It sustained damage.

It will be repaired and strengthened through urban transformation.

According to the plans, after being weakened by dozens of foreshocks, it was supposed to be destroyed by the main earthquake of July 15.

Of course, its aftershocks would have continued, but the July 15 main earthquake would have wiped out Modern Turkey and plunged the Turkish Nation into a cave-dwelling era for perhaps 100 or even 1,000 years.

They got stuck on President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Why did they get stuck?

The answer to this question may be hidden in what Ahmet Haşim wrote 120 years ago.

From the pen of our great poet Ahmet Haşim

Let us carefully read the following lines describing Anatolia and the people of Anatolia, and re-evaluate the comparison of today:

“In Ankara, I met with some high-ranking members of a medical delegation sent by the German Emperor to study Anatolian diseases.

These commanders realized that the stomachs of the Anatolian Turks are full of worms and their blood is full of parasites secreted by these worms.

Do you know the reason for this condition, which threatens the race with near extinction?

Lack of nutrition.

Although it may seem strange, the Anatolian Turks are not even aware of how to make bread yet.

What they eat is an unleavened flatbread, and one should ask the stomachs of those who eat it what it is.

The oxcart, which is their only means of transport, is undoubtedly an invention of the Stone Age.

The oxcart is not a vehicle, but a monster that clings to the animal and sucks its blood and life.

As for their houses, they are the same. The walls are formed by the random arrangement of unhewn, ordinary stones and brushwood, just like in a stork's nest.

Anatolia is entirely devoid of cleanliness. As Sakallı Celal said, even their most delicious invention, yogurt, is nothing but a product of filth. Anatolia is almost entirely riddled with syphilis. The beauty of the Anatolians has also been ruined.

If one looks at the crowd in a village, a town, or a city, one sees so many lame people collectively, and such a variety of limps, that one thinks one is looking around through a convex lens that distorts the shape of objects.”

It is possible to read similar stories and descriptions in many books written by the authors and intellectuals of that period.

Our people, in the miserable state so pitifully described in these stories, have, a hundred years later, undertaken projects all over the world, in climate geographies ranging from -50 to +50 degrees, in very different cultural climates, and have written their name into engineering literature as the world's second-largest country in this field.

I took this text from the book of the project called Nafia, for which I previously prepared a documentary.

I wanted people to watch it as the most current proof of where the Kemalist philosophy has brought the Turkish people from and to where.

Following this work, until something better comes along, Kemalist Turkey, La Turquie Kemaliste, will continue, and its life will be long.

As long as the Turkish Nation lives, Kemalism, which laid the foundations of modernity, will also live.
