A news story crossed my path.
A member of parliament lost 20 kilograms of gold to scammers.
The fraudsters managed to trap one of our deputies.
They tricked the deputy by claiming their transit card was found in a FETÖ operation.
And our clever deputy handed over everything they had—gold, foreign currency, their spouse's diamonds, the cow in the barn, the cattle in the field—to the scammers, just so they wouldn't face any trouble related to FETÖ.
It is clear that there is some underlying anxiety regarding FETÖ, as they were so frightened that they handed over everything they owned to the gang.
These are the men who serve as deputies in this beautiful country, strutting around and acting tough.
Meanwhile, young people are struggling in visa queues to become street cleaners in Europe, or working as couriers, risking their lives and living hand-to-mouth.
There is nothing left to say but to pray that God grants us a good end.
