What a piece of news.
In Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, a person was stabbed by three attackers. Tensions rose in the city following allegations that the attackers were Turkish citizens. After the incident, the visa-free entry practice for Turkish citizens to Montenegro was temporarily suspended.
The late Roni Margulies was a Jewish Turk from Izmir.
He had compiled a very beautiful collection.
He turned his research on the perception of Turks in the West during the 18th and 19th centuries, by examining the cartoons of that period, into a book.
To explain the depth of the "Terrible Turk" concept in both the West and the Balkans.
And to detail the roots of the jargon used for misbehaving children: "Behave yourself, or I will give you to the Turk."
The Balkans are the homeland of the Turks.
They were driven out of those beautiful, fertile lands, where they had ruled as residents for more than 500 years, following a catastrophe.
Deliorman, Silistra, Razgrad, Shumen, Mitrovica, Bosnia, Tuzla, Kosovo, Thessaloniki, Niš, and many other Turkish cities.
Morea, Crete, Kos, Rhodes, and many other islands.
Thank God a part of Cyprus is still in our hands.
While some of our influence continues in the Balkans, those who are uncomfortable with this influence are lying in wait.
Those who committed genocide against the last remaining Muslims in Bosnia in 1995 may be plotting a new plan.
It seems as if the stones for a new genocide are being laid by reviving the "Terrible Turk" perception in countries like Montenegro, which are more frequented by riff-raff and those involved in illicit activities due to visa-free travel.
Notice to those concerned.
