The era of fantasy is over in Germany

My trip to Germany has ended.

I have accumulated quite a bit of material to write about, but let me continue with the topic of education.

Germany is going to try to get a share of the education economy.

It has started making its preparations.

The new government is supporting pragmatic steps in this regard.

Mainz University of Applied Sciences, which I visited, has already opened English-language engineering programs.

However, not all courses are in English yet.

They also require B1-level German so that there are no issues in other courses.

It seems that departments where all courses are in English are on the way soon.

This also explains why the Turkish-German University, where the language of instruction is German, hit a wall.

Perhaps that is why the language of instruction for the soon-to-be-opened Turkish-Japanese University is neither Japanese nor Turkish, but English.

Because the Germans have been very rigid regarding the German language, they have become quite isolated from the world.

They are distant from many issues.

They will try to close the gap.

Judging by the news about education visas coming from America, the Germans will act quickly this time.

They will attract the bright students who are not accepted into America to Germany.

They have already invited dissident academics who are causing trouble in America.

It appears that with its new government, Germany will not engage in fantasies with Russia as they did during the Merkel era, but will focus on real projects.

They are taking the first step with their project to facilitate education and the admission of foreign students.
