Turkey has been a developing country for many years.
Its population has increased 4-5 times in the last century.
The growing population created a need for infrastructure.
Dams, roads, power lines, airports, railways, schools, hospitals, and cities were built.
These investments were made by engineers.
Demirel, Özal, Erbakan, and countless other unnamed engineers built all these investments.
Engineering faculties at universities were popular.
Choosing engineering over medicine was a common occurrence.
Their education was also difficult.
Laboratories were needed.
Engineering students worked day and night.
They were also at the top of the list of most desired professional groups among prospective grooms.
Their salaries were very high.
While girls once chose officers as husbands, they began to prefer engineers.
Especially civil and mechanical engineers were highly desirable husband candidates.
Whatever happened, things have changed in recent years.
They have started to settle for minimum wage.
They are no longer as desirable in the husband market as they used to be.
This is the expected result in countries that have shifted from a production economy to a rent-seeking economy.
Now, the legal profession is more desirable than all others.
Millions of dollars are being talked about.
Therefore, they are also gaining value in the husband stock market.
While the success threshold for engineers in the university entrance exam is three hundred thousand, this threshold is the top one hundred twenty-five thousand for law school.
It is less than double.
Lawyers, who have replaced engineers as the catalysts of the production economy, have become more visible.
Every evening on television, they bore us to death talking about CMK (Code of Criminal Procedure), administrative law, or public law.
While trying to carve out a space for themselves, they are undermining production.
While trying to share non-existent added value through trickery, they will sink us all.
