A perspective on the Middle East war

Karl Marx did not write the third volume of his famous work, Capital, himself; rather, it was compiled by Engels after his death, using the notes he left behind. However, if we accept all three volumes as Marx's work in terms of their fundamental concepts and scope, I thought it appropriate to include the following sentence from the third volume in the first paragraph of this article to better convey the views I wish to share with you: “...if the appearance and the essence of things coincided directly, all science would be superfluous.” [Capital, III, Yordam, p. 804]

As we experience events at full speed, as if heading toward a Third Partition War, everyone is blaming poor Trump for everything, from his lack of mental stability to his behavioral disorders. As if the situation would be any different if someone other than Trump were at the helm of the US. Who knows, perhaps! Yes, it seems certain that there is a disorder in Trump's behavior. But if the events initiated in the Middle East, which seem likely to drag us into major wars, are explained solely by the Trump factor, it means either the event is not understood or there is a serious ideological blindness. I do not know if such blindness is intentional or stems from a struggle in reasoning! However, what unsettles me in almost every event is our behavioral pattern of always being content with the concrete appearance of the event on the front line, while refraining from questioning the abstract causes in the background as much as necessary. I think the main reason for such behavior, whether consciously or unconsciously, as a learned behavior, may be that capitalism is pushed into the background, and certain politicians, institutions, or other non-systemic subjects are put forward as the real culprits.

When we look at what is happening today, Trump and Israel, which triggers him, are indeed on the stage, and Iran, which is being bombed, and the Middle East, which is being torn apart, are seen as the victims. When we think about what is happening with this data, an economic system emerges. The system is capitalism; capitalism is a structure that turns people into egoistic beings and makes societies aggressive. The system consumes people so much that, while Albert Einstein lamented and shouted that the purpose of his work and the results produced was to serve humanity, was Japan not razed to the ground with a nuclear bomb! A similar event occurred around the Frankfurt School. Some from this school were able to put forward the thesis that rationality should not be elevated too much because it is used in the destruction of humanity. However, in this argument, the cause-effect relationship should be established not between reason and the bomb, but between the system and war. For we must relate the manufacture of the destructive bomb not to reason, but to war, and we must relate war not to reason, but to the system. When we construct the logical proposition incorrectly, we cannot perceive or understand the first partition war or the second partition war (pseudo-science calls these the First World War and the Second World War!) with their causes and consequences.

Like today's wars, almost all wars that have occurred in history are nothing more than the struggles of egocentric people who reject sociality and are eager for selfish possession over the natural resources, water resources, and/or human resources that nature has placed at our disposal. Looking at today's conflicts with this logic, we observe the following: Trump is nothing more than an apparatus that does not hold much value, put forward by the system for a specific role. This apparatus can very easily trigger even a third partition war, because according to Trump, the earth and its bounties exist not to be shared, but to be possessed. One can look at Erich Fromm on this subject. As an apparatus of the system, Trump reached such a thought in the system's ideology pool, triggered by other apparatuses created by the system. Trump, who absorbed this system very quickly, can see in himself the authority to appoint certain country leaders to the administration of that country or for environmental cleanup as apparatus-officials, as a result of the learning he acquired from the process of his own tacit appointment. This process did not start with Trump either. Does the US not bind those countries and their leaders to itself unconditionally by establishing bases in the relevant countries! Is it not very clear why there is no other country besides Russia, China, and Somalia that condemns the US attack on Iran without an attack on itself! In contrast, while Iran carries out missile attacks as a defensive counter-action, are those who condemn Iran—France, Bahrain, Denmark, the UK, and Greece—on the stage representing humanitarian values! Could the reason be the US bases and the helplessness of being unable to speak! If we look at the Israeli front, how sad it is that these people, who have ancestors who received most of the Nobel Prizes; today, having lost their humanity, are in such deep negligence that they cannot even perceive that they will go down in history as the "chosen ones," the "only victimized people," and the "wretches who do not even see the Palestinian people as human beings." In this state, the Israeli people will go down in history as the selfish, sadistic, boorish, and oppressive tribe of capitalism.

It is clear that although the US war began with Israeli provocation, it actually aims to forcibly enter resources that it does not want to share with China, with the provocative behavior of capitalism. In other words, today's Middle East war is neither solely an Israel-Iran war nor solely a US-Iran war. This war is a war between the US and China, which maintains a claim of covert dominance over the world's bounties. The US is fighting a war to redirect oil resources from China to the US and to ensure the Dollar Zone is not violated. For these reasons, the US entered Iraq, for the same reason it had Gaddafi lynched by his own people in the streets, and for a similar reason, Mohammad Mosaddegh was overthrown in Iran because he nationalized oil, etc. It seems that until capitalism forces humanity to the stage where it is forced to fight with stones and sticks, this order, which is based on inhumane power and authority, will be maintained in one way or another.

Let us also take a look at the famous Greater Middle East Project that concerns us. Whatever the task in this project is, its effect will concern both the interests and the dignity of our people. It is my opinion that this project is a project put into operation by the US, with Israel in the lead. In the project, Israel aims to establish a secure area, while the US aims to remove China from the Middle East, fragment it as much as possible, and expand globally. Well, issues such as how the fragmented Syria, Iraq, and mobile Kurdish groups in the region will be dealt with, and what the relevance of this process is to Turkey, need to be discussed openly so that we have a say in the region. Otherwise, the US and Israel will become the masters of the region.
